Review for The Lodge at 30A, Florida
I recently stayed at The Lodge at 30A and enjoyed the lodge and campy feel of the place. The interior decor was well laid out, and the rooms were sizeable with nice showers. I particularly appreciated the details in the kitchenette area and loved how dark the room could get when the shades were pulled—perfect for a good night's sleep.
However, I did have some issues with noise. There was a child in the room next door who screamed through the night and woke up early, around 6 or 7 am, continuing with crying, yelling, and temper tantrums. I eventually had to go down to the lobby to request a room switch, but nothing was comped for the inconvenience. I would have appreciated a gesture like a late check-out or some consideration, as it’s not enjoyable to have a day with no peace while on vacation.
Aside from that, the staff at the front desk were generally helpful and kind, and the area around the lodge is beautiful. My only other comment is that access to the beach is not easy, but that has more to do with the location than the hotel itself.
Overall, it was a nice stay, but some improvements could be made in handling noise issues to ensure a more relaxing experience for guests.
