"Mara is a wonderful host! It was such a pleasure staying at this location A few things to keep in mind: - There's no wifi at the residence but you can purchase a cheap wifi card from a store close to the park in Santa Marta. You'll have to ask around to find out where to purchase it and where your devices will get reception - Mara doesn't cook breakfast for visitors but there are stalls and restaurants close to the residence that you can purchase food from - The electricity does go out somewhat frequently. Mara has a generator but it only powers a fan, it doesn't power the A/C - things like black tea are very difficult to find in Santa Marta. Please bring your own black tea if it's an essential for you Even though I've mentioned all of the above, we had a phenomenal time and we are very grateful to Mara for being such a great host. She was very helpful and kind!"
