"Reception service on arrival could have been better...one guest being dealt with ahead of me who then went to get something from his car or somewhere. No communication with me or "sorry please bear with me". Nothing. This guest's wife then comes back in and it takes 10 minutes to deal with her before i am dealt with. "The castle is a dream. Wonderful place.Stunning .Super clean. Quiet walkable city down the hill. Beautiful rooms. The only bad thing was dinner time. It’s a shame that are so short staffed. It took forever to get food and a long wait (30 min.) to get coffee after dinner. A hotel with this stature should offer an excellent service all around. "

"The hotel itself is nice enough and we would have enjoyed the outdoor areas at and near the hotel with better weather. Annoyingly, the bar wasn't open in the afternoon and we noticed quite a number of people waiting when it did open. Strangely, the bar is not accessible through the hotel when the restaurant is closed, needing to walk around the front to get to. There must have been a large party booked in to the restaurant as it was full immediately after it opened so we had to wait an hour and...

"Our room was dark during the day. The lights were very few and weak. In the morning the sunlight didn't let us sleep. The fornitures need an upgrade, the night table was broken and the wardrobe made funny sounds. But the worst was the wallpaper, broken and with many stains. The spa is very limited and expensive for what it is. The rest of the hotel is very nice, the restaurant, the patio and the employees are remarkable."
