"Very central hotel, well-signed from the bus station. Eleven floors high but not as huge as it first appears. We were pleased to get upgraded to a room with a cathedral view, though most rooms seemed to face the same direction. Fairly good breakfast. Very good staff on reception."

"Quite possibly the best room with a view anywhere in Europe. The hotel is right beside the cathedral and the views are amazing if you upgrade to a "vista" room. The hotel feels historic. Yea, it's slightly dated but it's comfortable, everything works and the staff are absolutely lovely. Would definitely stay here again "

"This was an excellent choice. We have stayed in Lerma before en route to the Santander ferry but have opted for more modest accommodation. I decided to spend a little more and boy was it worth it. The only negative was our late arrival and early start, so we did not have much time to enjoy the surroundings, so next time we will be sure to arrive sooner. Reception could not have been friendlier or more helpful, both arriving and departing. We were escorted to the lift. We were on floor 4, and the riom signage was not as helpful as it could be, and as it is quite dark it is difficult to see the room numbers...until you realize they are on the tiles and not the door. The room was superb, with a fabulous bed, very comfortable, my best night's sleep in the 3 month visit to Spain. Also the bathroom is huge, and lots of opulent touches. We had some drinks in the lounge area...la Bodeguita. It was very relaxing. The dinner menu was varied and encouraging but after a long drive nibbling various items in the car i did not think i would do it justice so we skipped dinner. Next time. There is a market on Wednesday mornings so we could not park in Plaza Major to the front of the hotel. The underground hotel car park is €14 per night, which i felt was expensive, as there was plenty of alternative street parking close by. We will definitely return."

"Great dog-friendly hotel with excellent breakfast and convenient parking. The only minus for me was the cost of parking. Excellent location too and a fabulous dog walking route following the river starts from the hotel's doorstep. Would definitely say again. Note: If you are not comfortable parking somewhere where it is very tight, the hotel car park is not for you."

"The staff and location of the hotel were great. Breakfast is not included, but it is available and quite nice. Rooms facing the street are a bit loud if you leave windows open. "
