This studio casita is a modern and contemporary design with attention to minimalist details that gives wonderful access to natural light throughout the day.
It features a queen size bed with luxurious bedding, a large walk in closet, full size dresser, full size bath with luxury towels and an
additional pull-out couch for either relaxing and entertaining or it can easily be made into a double size bed that will comfortably sleep two adults. It is a spacious, open floor plan with high ceilings and vertical shades between the bedroom and the common room which provide privacy when you are sharing the space with children or guests. Clear finished concrete floors provide wonderful warming radiant heat when there is a chill in the air. It also has a full size kitchen, that includes a dishwasher, coffee maker, electric teapot, toaster, french press and Italian espresso coffee maker, large assortment of dinner and glassware, and all appliances are full size, making any meal preparation and cleanup easy! The glass dining table and seating for 6 is only one option for dining. You may prefer to enjoy your morning coffee while sitting outside in your own private patio area while listening to the morning birds. With plenty of morning sun, it may be enjoyed almost year round. Your casita is equipped with high speed internet, Apple tv, and netflix,which can be enjoyed on an articulating flat screen tv. There is also a full size washer and dryer in the unit.
All windows have blinds for those restful times when you need it dark and cozy.
Your casita is surrounded by colorful New Mexico gardens, professionally landscaped and maintained, and the property has a full time maintenance staff available if there are ever any items to be addressed. There is a sweet patio table in your own private garden to enjoy coffee or for the afternoon sunset or just for relaxing. You are only a 1.5 mile walk to the picturesque downtown historic plaza for food shopping, galleries, music and all the culture Santa Fe has to offer.

Casa Arbolitas was a perfect base for us to attend the Native American Crafts Festival and to explore Santa Fe, Taos, and surrounding area. The accommodations were spacious and well-appointed with a beautiful garden view. Our friends stayed in a downtown hotel but the more tranquil setting of Casa Arbolitas was a better fit for us!

Quiet location with easy access to all of Santa Fe
This is the second time we have stayed here. It is on a quiet street with easy driving access to all of Santa Fe. About 10 minutes to the Plaza, for example. The unit is clean, well appointed and very convenient. Full kitchen, washer-dryer, nice bathroom, well lit, efficient Alexander Calder, green surroundings. We would definitely stay here a third time.

It was our second time staying at the Arbolitas casita. Our eight year old son was so happy when he heard we would be staying there again and said, "Can this always be where we stay when we come to Santa Fe?" The apartment is tasteful, well equipped with everything one would need, and the hosts make everything easy for their guests. The outdoor surroundings couldn't be more peaceful and relaxing. We had a lovely time!

Arbolitas Stay
Our stay at Arbolitas was pretty awesome! We had originally planned to stay months ago with a friend from out of town, but last minute his plane was cancelled and we rescheduled our trip altogether. Our hosts generously worked with us around this unexpected complication and then we decided to rebook with them for this trip. The gardens outside of our unit were beautiful and refreshing to wake up to in the morning. I definitely recommend this stay for travelers to Santa Fe.

Casa Arbolitas was our home away from home and contained all the things we needed for our extended stay. Full kitchen w some spices and olive oil, a comfy seating area and cozy blanket, roomy bathroom has a bathtub for soaking after long hikes, and soft, comfortable bed had excellent linens. The floor to ceiling windows look out into the garden and crickets chirped at night. For the first time in years, I didn’t need ear plugs to sleep. It was quiet and peaceful. There are light reducing screens to separate the sleeping area from the living space. It was great and we’re definitely going to be back!

The people who preceded us at Arbolitqs had not moved out and weren’t around when we tried to move in which created a hassle as it appeared we would spend one night next door then move to Arbolitas the next day. We were placed in the Floritas apartment , which in retrospect we prefer, and the owner discounted our stay because of the inconvenience and arranged for us not to have to to move.We would definitely stay again

We had a late check in because previous person hadn’t left. For the price, the chipped coffee cups should have been replaced, the water filter should have been working and the soap dispenser working. All minor except for the late check in. I arrived a little after three but the room wasn’t ready. I asked for a modest discount but no response.

Less Private Than Expected
Overall, we had a lovely stay! The studio had beautiful lighting, amazing windows, and a nice garden area. The unit was clean and very acceptable. We were definitely a bit disappointed with the lack of privacy (the “privacy” is what drove us to rent this place over others!). As an FYI there are actually two units in the same building with shared walls. You can hear talking, normal use of cabinets and doors, and general movements/sounds of people in the other unit (even when they are just living normally and producing normal sounds). Having the blinds open to the large windows is EXCEPTIONAL (honestly, so lovely and relaxing), until your shared unit neighbors walk by and either look in and make prolonged eye contact with you on their way to or from their unit (or, the second renters politely and awkwardly trying not to look your way). To note, the private patio for this particular unit is directly adjacent to the shared walkway for both rental units and so you may be likely to encounter other renters and/or gardening/cleaning staff, depending on the time of day. One of the days we were relaxing in the early afternoon between activities while the gardener’s leaf blowing was going for 30-ish minutes on and off. There are also some barking dogs in the neighborhood that will alert you of their presence when walking between the car and the unit. Despite the above, we had a lovely stay overall, but wanted to share our experience so others are informed to make decisions!
