The "Blue Beluga Beach Bungalow" is central, clean, cozy & comfy! Relax in the large backyard (BBQ, firepit), themed living room (65" TV + fireplace), oversized master & jacuzzi tub. We're in the midst of several PRIME spots all under a 10 minute walk:

THE SPACE

Blue Beluga Beach Bungalow (aka: "The Beluga") consists of 3 bedrooms / 2 baths, and has been recently redesigned & refreshed inspired by boutique hotels with a combined beachy & homey feel! We've added new modern furniture to complement the ocean-themed artwork and touches throughout the home.

Enter "The Beluga" through the enclosed gate into a tranquil front yard and peaceful water fountain. On a 6000+ sq foot lot, "The Beluga" has a spacious backyard. There is a large dining table, Weber BBQ grill, and a cozy gas firepit with adirondack-style lounge chairs to relax and wind down from your day at the beach.

Enter though the arched doorway, and you'll walk into an ocean-themed living room with sand-textured walls and our starfish collection. Snuggle by the gas fireplace for ambience and warmth. Or watch a movie or sports on the new 65" TV on the comfy couches.

Adjacent is the dining room with a large table that will seat 8+. The kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans, dining-ware, utensils, microwave, toaster oven, coffee machine, etc. There is a full size fridge and gas range.

There are 3 bedrooms spread throughout the home. A dividing hallway door can be closed between the front and 2 back bedrooms for additional privacy or noise reduction.

- Bedroom #1 - Front bedroom has a queen bed and can be for the early risers.
- Bedroom #2- Consists of a twin daybed that can be pulled out to 2 twin beds side-by-side (equivalent to a king bed).
- Bedroom #3 - Large master suite with a queen bed, and a comfy pull-out sofa bed. It also consists of a elongated jacuzzi bath tub.

Garage access is also available to guests if you need additional space for beach gear, surfboards, etc. We provide a wagon, 4 backpack beach chairs, and some kiddie beach toys for guests to borrow.

To make your stay comfortable, we supply soft bath towels, extra blankets, shampoo/conditioner, body soap, and other basic amenities (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.).

You can park up to 3 cars at the property. 1 car can fit into the driveway and 2 cars on the sidewalk in front of the house (avoid the paid meter parking just around the corner by Capitola Beach)!

YouTube TV is available, or you can log into your own streaming apps (e.g., Netflix, Hulu, etc).

Sorry, no pets allowed. Although we love our fur balls, one of our daughters has allergies.

The separate upstairs studio is the owners private unit/storage and will not be accessible to guests. Note we will NOT be there during your stay.

IMPORTANT HOUSE RULES:

Please note this is NOT A PARTY HOUSE. This is a close-knit neighborhood, therefore we want to be respectful of all of our neighbors. Santa Cruz county has a noise ordinance and quiet hours are between 10:00pm and 8:00am. Please don't book if your group cannot respect the quiet hours.

We have a strict NO SMOKING policy for the inside of the property. Any evidence of smoking done insdie property will result in retaining the full security deposit.

NO PETS please due to our children's allergies.

Great stay in Capitola

We really enjoyed our stay here in Capitola. The place was perfect for our two young families with plenty of space, a big back yard, and tons to do nearby. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area!

Great for families

This place had it all! It was the perfect space for our family. The backyard was great for evening gatherings around the fire pit and morning coffee. It’s also so close to downtown Capitola. We will definitely stay here again!

My Family's Stay at the "Blue Beluga Beach Bungalow”

My family and I stayed at the "Blue Beluga Beach Bungalow" and enjoyed the amenities offered by the property. The house was conveniently located, just a few minutes away from the beach. It comfortably accommodated our party of six. The place was clean and stocked with all the essentials (shampoo, soaps, dishes, cutlery, etc.) needed to make it feel like home. The backyard was well-maintained and provided plenty of seating options, including a fire pit area with two fountains nearby. Additionally, there was a Weber grill and extra LP tanks available in the garage. The owner was responsive and promptly addressed questions we had about the property. The owner also provided clear written instructions on devices like the large Bluetooth speaker and lights throughout the house, making it easy to control these features. My sole suggestion for the property owner is to include stainless steel cookware for those who prefer to avoid Teflon-coated cookware. Don’t hesitate to book this property! I recommend you pack house slippers as shoes are not allowed inside the property.

Nice house, lots of spaces to sleep, good location, but the lack of fans can be really uncomfortabl

All the beds fold out into mattresses making it easy for multiple people to sleep comfortably, but the lack of AC and fans in the house can be really hot at night, even with all the windows open. Would still recommend.

Home away from Home

We enjoyed our time at the Blue Beluga Beach Bungalow very much. The house is decorated beautifully with beachy accents everywhere. It’s very clean and smells good inside which to me is always important when I first step into a place I haven’t been in before. There are plenty of dishes, linens, and lots of closet space. The master bedroom is gorgeous and very big, more like a suite. The bathrooms are roomy with lots of drawer space, and handheld shower heads with great water pressure. The location is perfect. We took lots of walks to Capitola Village, and along the cliff to Pleasure Point.

Peaceful beach getaway

We really enjoyed staying at this little bungalow in Capitola. The house was comfortable for the eight of us and the location could not be beat. The house is a quick walk to Privates Beach and a very short drive to Capitola Village. Charming neighborhood and the outdoor space is ideal for relaxing, eating, and just enjoying the cool ocean air.
