Went to check in - was told to come back because owner was in the shower. Hair dyer didn’t work in room - otherwise it was okay

The room was missing the baseboard and smelled of cleaning products. The bottom bedsheet was not a fitted sheet so when I pulled back the covers it revealed a huge stain on the bottom sheet. Gross. The mattress was so hard I laid out pillows to sleep on. However at 2:15 in the morning the “neighbors” came back drunk and started screaming and fighting. I packed up my stuff and headed home. Never again at the Sunset Motel.

Sunset Motel is an affordable option located near the bus line and various restaurants. I had a very quiet and secluded room (207) so fortunately I did not hear other neighboring rooms which is a plus. The bed was very comfortable too. The furniture and decor is very dated which could use a good renovation. The A/C & heat worked well in the room. The biggest disappointment was no hot water to take a shower during my entire stay.
