"I arrived at about 3 pm. The hotel was with closed and locked gates. I was sure that it was closed as I didn’t see anyone inside. About 45 minutes later the reception person arrived from home. Apparently, his shift starts at 4 pm. I asked to be upgraded from a very old building to a new one. I had to pay extra for the upgrade. I got a room in the new building which was great. "The Hotel Duomo is lovely. Just the right size and comfort level. And the location must be the best in the city! The cathedral is right outside the entrance - and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from within easy walking distance. It was also close to the Violin Museum which was the reason for our visit. The breakfast offerings were generous and delicious. We would stay again. "
