Great location. That’s about it.
I chose this hotel because it specifically advertised valet parking $20 per day. Driving in Sanremo is stressful and parking can be a hassle and my husband is 70, sick, and his suitcase strap broke so it was hard to drag it lost distances. Besides WiFi, It was literally the only requirement we had for the room. When we arrived, I was told the lot was full and to just drive around and find a spot on the street - on a weekend in a beach town! I said that wouldn’t work and she was very dismissive but I didn’t budge. Finally, a manager came and he points out a public lot on the beach that had overnight parking about a ½ mile walk away. The room was very rundowns/ stained & worn carpets, cheap & dated furniture, peeling wallpaper, etc. the location was great - just behind the casino and in front of the beach, and it was probably a great property 80 years ago. I loved their vintage neon sign. I am not opposed to older propertie, but there is a difference nostalgia and rundown. I also resent the fact they advertise parking when they don’t actually have their own parking - just a contract with a 3rd party to pickup and store cars IF there is availability. They offered no apologies. I also had to make a special trip to the lobby to get the WiFi code when it’s customary to give it to you upon check in. It was also VERY slow. Glad I wa only there 1 night!

Language Problem
Upon arrival requested to extend stay by 1 day and given verbal confirmation that it would be at same rate ($119.22 u.s.). Offered card as payment and was told wait until next morning. Didn't review charges until 9/2/2017 and had been charged 118.0 Euro, some 15% more.

Old World hotel with exceptional beach views
Hotel Europa is in its original condition, most likely from the 1930's/1940's, and remains untouched. The hallways, lift, bathroom tiles, wallpaper and furniture have a charming quality, if somewhat dated... the hotel itself is in a superb location, one side facing the sea and the other facing the decadent San Remo Casino, in the central shopping and restaurant area. The room itself was huge by today's standards, true to the style of old world hotels, complete with an entry hall and super tall ceilings, and the view of the sea from the little balcony was breathtaking, all day long. Undoubtedly, with a proper renovation, this hotel could be superb. Although old, the room was comfortable and for the most part clean, however on arrival I found layers of dust on the desk and bedside tables, and had to wipe them down myself before placing my things on the furniture. All in all, this is a good hotel for a short stay.

Hotel is great - parking service not so much
The room was teeny tiny, but clean and comfortable and quiet (with air conditioning). Good location, nice breakfast. The only complaint we had was with the offsite parking service. Our car came back with a scratched fender. The parking was not inexpensive either. The parking company is independent from the hotel, but still there wasn't really any other options for parking in the area. The valet spoke no English, but the hotel manager helped interrupt, took pictures of the damage, and offered to help if necessary. The parking company has offered to pay for the damage, but only time will tell.

Noisy
Expect bar life outside the window until 3 am during weekend nights if your room face the casino at least. Not at all worth its price even though the location is great.

Right in front of Casino
The hotel is 4 stars, probably famous, but with a bit outdated furniture. Overall, I would recommend to stay here.

80's charm in sunny San Remo
A great hotel in a very good location. It is a little dated in terms of decor, but that adds to its charm. It's very clean, and not far from everything you would want to see in San Remo - which is well worth a visit. The staff were sweet and the breakfast was lots of fun, the people watching alone! Recommend spending a few euros more for a sea facing room, the casino is impressive (from the outside), but the balcony views are wonderful - we on the fourth floor.

Hotel with a view Sanremo
Beautiful view from the balcony off the room. Things are a little dated and the air conditioning in the room and at breakfast was poor. Casino is right behind the hotel, but it's a bit dated as well.

Loud but Convenient
The location is central to ocean and shops but road/vehicle noise comes with the convenience. Staff is nice but I think there was a miscommunication when I asked for a room with a tub we got a shower with a stall and a baby changing table. There is smoking allowed in the rooms and some people will also smoke around hotel, despite signs. Parking is a bit of a pain but if you are looking for a spot at the right time then you might find one. Although you still need to pay to park during most days.

Convenient, but average comfort
Hotel has a great location. Room was clean. Bed was mildly uncomfortable. Staff was helpful but behaved as if our questions were a major inconvenience to them.

Great for a short stay
we booked the sea view apartment for 2 nights as a stop over on our way back to Nice. Old hotel, that is a little dated, but exceptionally clean. although there are cooking facilities in he apartment, there is no cutlery, pots pans etc. so be aware. Very good Breakfast for the price (€30 for 4 people) great location. 100 yards from beach. 50 yards from the casino (if you like that). secure parking across the street for €8 a day. great value

Good experience overall. Breakfast needs to be improve. You best option would be having a coffe and cornetto at the bar next door and save around $10 per person.

Faded glory
Staying here feels like a step back in time to the 'Golden Era' of European travel. Although a little faded now, the ceilings are high, the rooms large, and the sea view from the balcony wonderful if you're on that side of the bulding. Parking and the San Remo oneway system up steep blind bends is a nightmare but if you ask the hotel they'll book you in to the car park opposite.

An old beauty
Hotel Europa is a beautiful 1920's hotel in the heart of San Remo, within easy walking distance of all that San Remo offers. If I return, I shall be returning to the Europa
