Sankt Lambrecht has some atmospheric restaurants, lovely shops, a well-stocked supermarket, and a heated outdoor swimming pool with stunning views of the vast monastery. In the 2022/2023 winter season, a new state-of-the-art 10-seater gondola has been added to this still relatively undiscovered fantastic and snow-sure family ski area, with no long queues at the lifts. A visit to the beautiful medieval town of Murau is highly recommended in summer and winter. Here, you will find many lovely shops and cozy terraces. Besides beautiful mountain walks, you can also walk or cycle the Mur cycle path here. This famous cycling path along the River Mur runs right through the region. There are also many beautiful lakes and an 18-hole golf course about 20 minutes away by car.
In short, this area is ideal for active holidaymakers and those seeking peace, both in summer and winter, as mass tourism has not yet discovered it. Here, you can still enjoy pure Austrian coziness and numerous traditions. As for nature, the region is wonderful and unspoiled
