The Old Barn is a beautifully converted space that has been lovingly restored by the owners, who have had the property in the family for more than 100 years. The ground floor is spacious and bright, offering a social space to cook, dine and relax, and the sliding doors open up the sitting room onto the unspoilt garden that changes with the seasons. Upstairs is a family bathroom and two large bedrooms with windows that look out to the garden and farm fields. The Old Barn is nestled within well established trees with an open garden space, providing endless adventures for children, a lovely spot to enjoy sundown drinks or exercise your dog. The surrounding fields are a haven for wildlife, and home to lambs in the Spring. An added bonus to the barn is private driveway parking for up to four cars. Or why not leave the car behind and arrive by train as the station is just minutes from the house, and there are easy train links to neighbouring towns and London St Pancras. The Old Barn really is a wonderful holiday home for families and friends looking for a peaceful break. Just a short walk into the historic town centre of Sandwich and the picturesque riverside, this ancient Cinque Ports town is wonderful to stroll around and enjoy the antique and boutique shops, restaurants and cafes, and many historic buildings. The Old Barn is also ideal for golfers with the three championship courses of Royal St. George's, Prince's and Royal Cinque Ports just a few minutes drive away, and also for nature lovers who can enjoy the lovely river side, with trips to see the seals. A visit to the Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory is a great family day out, and for the more adventurous, there is the Whitemills Wake & Aqua Park. The Old Barn is next door to Poplar Farm House, which sleeps eight guests and can be booked together if you require additional accommodation for family and friends.
