The home is located in a subdivision aptly titled Alpine Village.
Mogul Hill Road is a gravel road leading right up to the house’s one-car garage. The adjacent door is the entrance into the home’s daylight basement level.
The driveway leads to the back of the house, to additional parking, to a radiant heated rock-paved patio, and to the house’s main level entrance. Upon initial entry at this doorway, you step right into the home’s main living room. Immediately noticeable is the wall of windows looking north out onto the panoramic views of the forested slopes of Schweitzer Mountain. A spacious living room welcomes you with its chandelier lighting and enormous stonework faux fireplace. A coat closet is immediately available on your left.
The dining area sits right next to the picture windows and features its own chandelier. The kitchen starts with a breakfast bar wide enough for two barstools. This kitchen comes complete with a stainless steel gas stove, a stainless steel overhead exhaust fan, stainless steel dual wall ovens, a stainless steel refrigerator and freezer, a stainless steel dual basin sink with garbage disposal, a stainless steel dishwasher, a stainless steel trash compactor, floor-to-ceiling walnut cabinetry, granite counters, and more stunning views from the windows.
A windowed door next to the dining area leads to the outside second-story deck. This deck offers all of the views of Schweitzer Mountain looking north and Lake Pend Oreille to the south. This deck is large enough to accommodate comfortably a set of patio furniture and an outdoor cooker.
Back at the main entrance, an adjacent hallway leads to the main level guest bedroom and guest bathroom. The bedroom is a corner room with windows on the north and east sides of the house. This bedroom has its own large double-door closet and its own entrance into the guest bathroom. The guest bathroom is a full bath with a tub and shower and a sink vanity with cupboards and drawers and a tiled surface.
The ascending living room staircase leads to the home’s third floor. This level features an expansive family room, another wall of windows with sweeping views, the second guest bedroom, and the second guest bathroom. The focal point of the family room is another beautiful stonework faux fireplace. The bedroom on this level also has its own wide double-door closet and a bay of decorative windows looking east. The bathroom on this level has a sink vanity with a cupboard and a glass-enclosed shower stall lined with stunning quarry tiles. Another windowed door in the family room takes you to the home's third-story outside deck, again with all of the stunning views available to this home.
One more staircase hidden behind a hallway door on this level leads to the home’s fourth and top floor. Another bay of decorative windows looking east creates the perfect space to place a king size bed for the master of the house on this level. Immediately adjacent is the master bath featuring a pedestal sink and a deep soaking tub with a handheld shower nozzle. This level also has its own private outdoor deck overlooking the ski hills below.
Back on the main level, a descending living room staircase takes you to the daylight basement level. This level features extra storage closets and a laundry nook with washer and dryer hookups. There is another entrance into the daylight basement inside the garage.
The whole home is heated with radiant heat flooring. Floors throughout the home are a combination of heated stone, black walnut, and carpet. The home has a central vacuum system for easy cleaning.
A short walk outside the main level entrance takes you to the hot tub house immediately next door. The architecture of this dedicated outbuilding is congruent with the main house. The hot tub sits under a vaulted canopy. This setting affords you the rare experience of taking in open air views of the mountain scenery surrounding the property while soaking in a jetted hot tub.
Four-season trails to the village are immediately adjacent to the property for hiking, snowshoeing, back-country skiing, biking, and for skiing in and out of the village.
