The apartment itself is completely private and whilst there are other homes at this villa this is the principal and most prestigious apartment in the residence.
The home is located over three levels. The terrace with alfresco dining and lounging offers ample space and privacy to soak up the atmosphere and splendid vista. Inside the home you will find a state-of-the-art kitchen with all mod cons and all the facilities you would associate from a home of this quality including interior dining facilities and a spacious, comfy sofa to relax upon. Two of the bedrooms are located on this floor as well as an additional service W.C. A laundry room with washer and dryer is conveniently housed on this floor.
The spacious master double bedroom features an en-suite bathroom with bath and wc a plus sofa bed for 2 guests. An electronic ceiling fan is included in this bedroom positioned with greater shade.
A second air conditioned double room with a private lake view terrace is also located on the entry level floor with shower and wc.
Stairs to the first floor give access to an additional living room, ideal for families or friends sharing the home who require additional privacy. This first floor includes a large sofa, dining facilities and kitchen is located with access to the huge lake view balcony where you can also dine and take in the 180-degree lake view. The first floor features a double bedroom plus bathroom with shower and wc is located directly next to this bedroom. This bedroom boasts a splendid lake view and features air conditioning.
The third floor open plan bedroom is accessed by an internal staircase and takes you to the attic atrium level featuring an open plan layout of two single beds and a sofa plus bathroom with shower and wc. This open plan attic level room benefits from air conditioning located on the first floor immediately below to keep temperatures cool in summer on both this floor as well as the secondary open plan living area downstairs.

Outside you have access to your private boat mooring plus use of the communal gardens and grounds as well as the beach for sunbathing and direct access to the lake.

"If you’re reading this review, you are probably contemplating staying at this magnificent villa. Let me just sum it up quickly - don’t think and go ahead and book it!! You need no further review and you will have no regrets. Just do it! Our family stayed at Villa Gaeta the first week of April in 2024, and we loved every minute of it. This is a magnificent historic place which is exquisitely and modernly remodeled, and elegantly furnished on the inside. Every bit of detail is attended to. You are renting the best apartment in this complex, with the best views, patios, and interior. The location of the villa and the views are fantastic. No wonder it was chosen for the final scene in Casino Royale, and still is a well recognized landmark villa all over the lake. However, what goes beyond any other rental property is the service. From the moment that we contacted Barrie and even after we had left, he was extremely helpful. Barrie is one of those individuals that you immediately like and trust, and he goes way beyond to make sure all is taken care of and you and your loved ones feel most welcome! From giving us driving directions, to meeting us at the villa late at night in the rain, advice for local and also non-local cuisines, casual to fine dining, sightseeing, etc. etc. Barrie just goes well beyond his duty. Even when we had a minor issue with the AC control system, Barrie was there almost immediately and fixed the problem. We have stayed in contact even after our departure while visiting other areas of Italy as he has provided very helpful recommendations. Over the years we have stayed at a few other places on Lake Como , but this was by far the best. We will definitely stay at Villa Gaeta again when we come back. "Wow - Every James Bond fan who can afford it should spend a week here. What a villa. What a view! It was built more than 100 years ago and divided into 18 separate units. We stayed in early June and had the place to ourselves. You have access to the private beach, the private dock, and the entire grounds as well as two large porches facing the water. The unit is actually TWO apartments on top of each other connected by a thin set of stairs (you have another entrance to the upper unit if you want). The lower section has two huge master bedrooms with attached baths and an open plan living room/dining room/kitchen. The upstairs section has a large living/kitchen/dining area with double height ceiling, a bedroom with bath next door and a big loft with its own bathroom. We ate out on the upper porch several times and watched the tourist boats come and go.
