Wonderful stay. Our room was clean, comfortable and close to city sites at an affordable price. Staff was friendly and helpful. They have a great coffee and chocolate machine that serves really delicious drinks.

The location was very convenient and quiet, just a short walk to Old Town. We really enjoyed our stay here - the complimentary coffee and muffins were a plus, and the beds were super comfortable. We had the most restful sleep at this hotel during our entire trip! Highly recommend a stay here!

The apartments are in an ideal location, close to the Gros area to have some pintxos and drinks. Our room was very small, but enough to just sleep and shower. The hotel has an agreement with the Kurxaal parking so that the daily rate is 20€ instead of 25€, ask in reception and they will explain everything. Overall good.

The staff at welcome gros has always welcome me with a big smile, the place is very well situated, there are lots of good restaurants all around, close to the beach and the price is undefeatable.

Location, location, location.
Donostia it's a wonderful charming city with lots of places to go, to see, to feel, to eat and to drink. Having said that, we spent most of our time outside and only got the hotel to rest and freshen up. For us the most important thing while choosing a hotel for this stay was location and convenience. Welcome Gros is exceptionally located, just a 5 minute walk to either the heart of San Sebastian or the heart of the Gros neighborhood. Also very close to the bus and train station. The room itself was Ok, nothing great but no complaints. Now...lobby it's not open 24hrs so I guess we auto checked out; there's nowhere to have breakfast in grounds (not really a problem, since there are excellent places to grab a bite nearby) and the hotel feels a little impersonal but for us none of those were a deal breaker. In conclusion it's a very good option for what you pay.

Conveniently located within walking distance from the shopping district, dining area (old town), and the beach. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The hotel itself doesn't have a lot of amenities but I wasn't looking for a full-service hotel. The staff is VERY helpful and made check-in so easy. Parking is about a 10 minute walk (at the waterfront). I would stay here again.

This property was very close to the metro and easy to find. The rooms were very clean and had everything you needed for your stay including a safe and fridge. A short 10-15 minute walk and you were in the old town and beach. Unfortunately, when I had arrived at my next destination I noticed that I had left my wallet behind at Welcome Gros which was very stressful. After speaking to Beatriz, who was extremely helpful and remained in constant contact, she organised the money to be returned to my bank account and held onto my wallet until my friend was able to collect it a month later. It is nice to think there are still honest and caring people out there going above and beyond even after leaving the hotel.
