"I cannot say enough about how enjoyable our stay at Makati Shangri-La was. From the second we stepped through the door we were met with helpful smiling faces. We did our check-in in the Horizon Lounge and had small bites while waiting for everything to be finished. We stayed in the suite which was beautifully decorated and had all the space and amenities one might hope for. We loved the matching robes and slippers. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the pillows were just right. The shower was large and the water pressure was great. The his and hers sink was incredibly convenient. The breakfast buffet was stellar, with traditional Filipino options as well as Indian and Japanese just to name a few. I might as that the coffee was top notch. Our stay was over my birthday and when we came back to the room that night the staff had left a beautifully plated chocolate cake and a plate of macarons on the table in the seating area of the suite. It was such a great surprise. I later found out that had we done lunch in the lounge they would have brought it out then, but I think the surprise of finding it after a great day out made it that much better My flight out got pushed back 12 hours, and i rebooked the room for an extra night, which was super easy thanks to the wonderful staff Again I can’t brag enough about how great the experience here was. I’m excited to experience the other Shangri-la properties around the world and they will be my first choice if available "
