One step above camping. No hot water to shower. I did find the hostel a safe place to stay. The staff was friendly.

Disappointed
The room was dirty, the bathroom is disgusting, the shower is salt sea water. The room is uncomfortable and smells like a cheap bar bathroom.

Nice atmosphere but extreme bed bug infestation
I met cool people here and had fun downstairs, but the hostel has a massive bedbug infestation that management just does not care about. I showed them several classic bedbug bites and they just shrugged and moved me to another room that ALSO had bed bugs. Then they just checked someone else into the first room I was in the very next day. It was quite clear from my conversation with the staff plus observations and experience that this place is so infested they probably cannot even fix it without burning the place to the ground. It was also extremely loud, often due to events in the bar directly below, but that I would be more willing to accept for the price. Bedbugs are not something you accept in exchange for paying less. They are a public health problem and something that necessitates a lot of work if you want to avoid bringing them home or to your next destinations. There were rooms available at the sister hotel across the street, but they are unwilling to negotiate even a slightly lower price than the sticker price even if you're being eaten alive at night in the Inn and already paid them for your full stay.

WORSE PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE
The staff were very nice. The property is totally run down. they are located right next to the SPCA, dog pound, dozens of dogs barking day and night. The are right behind the airstrip, with planes taking off, and landing until wee hours. There are exposed wires, from the light fixtures, I was going to take a show but there shower flow as so gross, I found an old Pizza box, to use as as bath mat. got undressed, stepped into the shower, only to find, there was no hot water. There plumbing is not working well, there is a sign saying do not flush toilet paper, there was a waste basket full of used TP, beside the john, full of used paper, the bathroom smelled, like an outhouse in July. I had booked 3 nights, but only stayed 1 night. They do have two pools, but one of them, is half full with green algae in it, I checked out the next morning, I talked to a lady named Megan, very nice, and polite, she offered me a refund, and as me to come back after 1:00 pm the next day when the owner was there. When I got there I was introduced to a British gentleman named Pete. I asked him about the refund, and he told me, Sorry Mate, I can't do that, since you didn't book through them directly. He did tell me, stop by some time and have drink on me. If you don't mind filth, junk, and run down accommodations, this is the place to stay.

Very clean Hostel, you get what you pay for
I recommend staying in the Hotel side which has AC. Not that there is only one pool, and it is quite small. . Hostel rooms are bare minimum. Two beds, bedding, lights, fan. Not roomy, but good enough for what we needed and expected. Also like to warn about the airport being right next door. Planes stop at about dark, but also start up when the sun rises - makes for a very early wake up.

Stayed 3 nights at Pedros Inn Hostel. The room was very basic. Small room with two beds, one fan and a window. The pool area and the bar were nice, but the pizza was way overpriced. Wi-fi only worked sometimes. The staff were awesome, especially the girl in the reception. Not the best hostel, but worth to stay here because of the price.

Fin de año en San Pedro
Fue una muy buena experiencia, ya que desde el primer día se siente uno bien recibido e incluso el dueño te saluda en el bar y te la pasas de lo mejor!
