"Bill and Rosalee are lovely hosts! Very helpful and welcoming.We had a very relaxing stay. The connection with the local culture and foods was top-notch. Warm, engaging, friendly and helpful! Local artist Martine has some amazing art pieces.We ate at Chumis and could not have felt more welcomed by Mirta, the proprietor. Lots of joy and love! Great Tacos Camarrones at Dalis as well. A most needed getaway!"

"What an amazing home in a beautiful location! We opted to stay in and just enjoy all the house had to offer, and we took full advantage: dinner by Yami (delicious, and lots of it!), airport transfer for some of our party, couples massage, a few uses of the tub, tons of cloud watching, sloth searching (unfortunately we didn’t find him) and waterfall swimming. We ate at some of the local restaurants, which were excellent (most notably Carnitas Chani and the Mexican place next to El Rio (can’t remember the name). It was so relaxing and just what we needed. We would definitely return and recommend."

"We loved our stay at Casa de Lis, from the host’s welcome and assistance with parking to a late evening drink on the roof terrace. The hotel is simply but tastefully decorated and our room - with small balcony- provided everything we needed for a comfortable night at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended "

"The only thing I didn't like was the restaurant. We ordered two lobster dinners and were served shrimp. When we stole the waitress that we ordered lobster and got shrimp, she looked at our plates and said, "no, that is lobster." I said no it is not and so did my grandson. Then she came back and said they could correct only one plate. I said, "how is that reasonable? We ordered two lobster plates and got shrimp. Why wouldn't you correct both?" It was a big to do and by the time I got my dinner, I had lost my appetite. Both the shrimp and lobster were over cooked."

"An incredibly beautiful place with gorgeous rooms, amazing birds, magnificent flora and delightful people. The restaurant was open 8 to 8 and the food was amazing. "

"What a great place, the owners make to so! Everything was perfect! Hope to return one day! The construction has really impacted them... Had to drive along the closed road to get to them when we went... Said it's been under construction for 4 years! Gonna be a super freeway by there someday."
