This is a pretty rustic and authentic Mexican property. There are only a few rooms, and they are attached to a restaurant. Our room was on a courtyard that is shared with the kitchen. This is NOT an American style property, but that is not to say that it is not nice. It is authentic. Exposed to the outdoors, and does not have AC or heat. We had an Expedia reservation and confirmation number but the hotel was not expecting us, they did not have our reservation. We spent almost 30 minutes with a receptionist trying to get it figured out before we could have a room. We ended up not staying for our whole reservation though.
Very affordable. Very close to the main square. Don’t expect a super luxury place. Room is perfect for the price conscience guest who is aware that they are getting what they pay. Place is nice, convenient, short walking distance to main square. Nothing fancy or upscale .would stay again
Large bugs in the room made loud noise at night. No shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. There wasn't a person available to check us in. They didn't even have a computer. The "bar" closed at 6pm. It wasn't really a hotel - more like a place that had a spare room they wanted to rent out and make some money. They windows were broken/torn, the beds were uncomfortable. The older guy at that watched the place at night was nice, but as far as the space is concerned we were really disappointed.
This property is located in the perfect area of San Miguel de Allende. It was close to all attractions. That being said, the property consists of only a few units. I was please with the service but as soon as we got there the host suggested we upgrade our unit to a more spacious room at 2500 pesos per night which is approximately $147 more per night. We declined. I also asked for more blankets and towels and the host said that he would put them in our room when we left to have dinner. I did not feel comfortable with him coming into our room after we checked in. I went up to the front desk and told him we would rather wait. The property overall lacks upkeep and was a little too rustic for me and my family. The hotel staff is friendly but I would not stay here again.
We loved this place. It had so much character. Only a couple of blocks from centre yet quiet and private. The king sized bed was newer and comfortable. Room had a fan and heater. Room service was good providing fresh towels and clean sheets daily. Water pressure was weak but got the job done. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Only con was the poor WiFi.

Property was great and the room was ok. Good size but could had better blankets. Also bathroom was a bit small and could have been cleaner.
The food at restaurant was really good!
The hotel room was pretty basic, it would be nice if they can add iron machine, darker shades at the windows and definitely improve the wifi signal.

This is our first time visiting San Miguel de Allende. We have enjoyed our stay very much! The location is amazing and the staff is super friendly! Our room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely be returning to Hotel Villa Santa Blanca.
Lo único malo es que la presión y cantidad de agua que sale de la regadera es muy poca

Would Stay Elsewhere
On the negative side: Very poor (almost non-existent) wi-fi and Internet access (had to go to Starbucks for all-important access). No clean water in rooms. Very noisy with staff playing TV from 6-9PM. Restaurant closes early every day and not open on Wednesday.
On the positive side: Situated in heart of Centro. Happy staff that laughs a lot. Good price.

Great location, clean room. But the room is located right in front of the kitchen. No a/c. Works for just a night or two.

I filtered my search to properties with AC and internet. When we arrived we asked for the Wifi password. We were told they had been having trouble w/ WiFi for the last few days. The lady at the front desk then searched for a password for a few minutes while on the phone. she finally found a plastic card with 2 networks and a password written. She brought to our room. 1 network couldn’t be found, the other was a public one. She told us to join the public one because it was a restaurant’s. I did not feel comfortable doing that and the signal was weak. Told her I needed internet so I wanted to cancel my 2 nights stay because I would be searching for another hotel. She told me I had to wait until someone arrived the next morning to take care of that. I had plans for the next day to go to La Gruta very early so I was have to leave my room before this person arrived at 11am. I told her ok, but the next morning at 7 am i packed all my thinks and checked out. The gentleman at the front understood that I needed wifi for work and allowed us to cut our stay short since they did not in fact have wifi.
Although I left early, it seemed like this place will have you waking up early with the noise they will likely be making at their courtyard eating area or kitchen all of these rooms face. There was a common area restroom right outside our room. The restroom in our room has a half ceiling, so any smells from the restroom can get in. And the main door has a huge gap under that lets bugs in.
