"Quite possibly the best room with a view anywhere in Europe. The hotel is right beside the cathedral and the views are amazing if you upgrade to a "vista" room. The hotel feels historic. Yea, it's slightly dated but it's comfortable, everything works and the staff are absolutely lovely. Would definitely stay here again "

Excellent location too and a fabulous dog walking route following the river starts from the hotel's doorstep. Would definitely say again. Note: If you are not comfortable parking somewhere where it is very tight, the hotel car park is not for you."

"Great place to stay. We had a warm welcome and the restaurant food was excellent. Room very comfortable - large beds and all spotlessly clean. Ensuite bathroom and shower superb. Only thing missing was coffee/tea facilities but the Cafeteria is open all the time for that. We have stayed at lots of hotels on our journeys back and to England through Spain and France and this is the best yet by far. GS "
