Charming location
This historical farm has been remodeled . This is the charm of the past with a great comfort. The location is very good . It’s very close to SLO.

Great getaway!
My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and loved it! We loved seeing all the wild life and just getting away from the busy city. It was a great place to relax and to be able to just refocus on each other. Thank you!

Fantastic Property, wonderful host.
We had planned on doing full day trips around the coast and into the Paso Robles area, but the property was so amazing we ended up hiking and relaxing on site for most of the time. Host was wonderful and cabin is just as nice as pictured. Our dog Bruno loved it too. Would definitely stay again!

Absolutely loved this property! Nestled in the hills behind Cal Poly, the scenery was beautiful and were able to see a lot of wildlife. Very, very quiet and relaxing. We will be back again!

Such a special place!
Loved our time in the little red house. Perfect for three of us - couple and adult daughter - plus our dogs. Very close to SLO yet out in the wilderness. Deer, turkeys, coyotes (heard not seen), and an abundance of squirrels! Hope to return here.

Great and Peaceful Place
This was our 3rd time at this peaceful farmhouse with dogs - very relaxing and I'm sure we'll be back. WiFi is via satellite so a wee bit slow but you won't want to work there anyway.

Beauty and solitude!
The farmhouse was delightful, charming and full of necessities for a comfortable stay. It is beautifully tucked into a valley that isolates you from the business of the city...and yet you are about 10 minutes from SLO. So peaceful and restful! Chuck was a great host and quite helpful! Highly recommend for a restful retreat. There are also great hiking trails from the front door.

What a wonderful property to stay at! The house was very thoughtfully stocked, the setting amazing, and beds and linens comfortable. Amazingly quiet and perfectly peaceful
We’ll definitely be returning to the Farmhouse! The peace and quiet we experienced (even with a nighttime thunderstorm!) was incredible. The house is only a couple of miles from downtown San Luis Obispo, but it feels a world away. We saw deer, hawks, wild turkeys, indigo buntings, bluebirds. The house is cozy, but feels spacious for two adults. Amazing place.

Bucolic setting
So enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse! Clean, comfortable and beautiful surroundings. We were met with turkeys right outside the house every morning. Saw deer on the hills at sunset. We even used the outdoor grill to barbecue steaks from the Cal Poly Meat Market down the road! Usually grills at rentals are far from clean! Chuck was very responsive and helpful with tips for our stay. Thank you!

Beautiful location
Stayed here with my husband and our two dogs. The property was beautiful. House was comfortable. Kitchen was updated and spacious. Saw deer roaming around the house everyday. The dogs enjoyed going for walks around the house and going to the creek that was close by. Would recommend if your looking for a private place to relax.

What A Location!!
This was our 2nd stay here and while it's 2 miles to SLO you'd never know it as the valley feels remote and it's just lovely. If you want peace and quiet plus a place for your dog - it's excellent. There is a flock of wild turkeys close by and we also saw 2 deer nearby. I'm sure we'll be back.

A beautiful and unique place to stay
This is one of the most memorable and wonderful places we have ever stayed. I was with my husband and two teenage sons, and everyone loved it. The farmhouse is beautiful and very comfortable - historic but with all the modern amenities and comforts. The location is spectacular, with total privacy and beautiful views of the hills around. We loved watching the deer, turkeys, birds, and squirrels and sat outside for hours enjoying the scenery. I would recommend it to anyone, and we are planning to come back for sure.

A little piece of heaven
I hesitate to write this review because I don’t want everyone knowing about this place so it is available when we want to go back. Ha! We stayed here when we moved our daughter in to Cal Poly. It is so peaceful and quiet. What a refuge!! The beds were super comfortable and the outdoor area was great. We enjoyed the passing cows and did t want to leave. We hope to return soon! Thank you!

Let’s meet in the middle!
I found this property on the internet. We all looked over the description of the farm and scheduled a mini vacation. The pictures are exactly what this farm is all about. We enjoyed it very much. My husband and I came from Southern California and our son and daughter-in-law are from Northern California. It was half way for us all.

Lovely location. Just needs cleaning. Doors. Baseboards. Dirty. Put ant traps. Windows need to be cleaned. Beautiful location. Peaceful. Vacuum needs to be emptied. New bag please. I left it cleaner than it was. Needs to say no air conditioner. Was over 90 inside when we arrived.

Remote and yet so close
Once you master the dirt road (don't bring a low rider car or sports car!) you are really transported into a different world. Huge property, nobody anywhere to be seen, lots of wildlife including a resident flock of wild turkeys and just sheer natural beauty. The house / cabin is well appointed and while clearly pretty old, it is very comfortable and charming. No excess clutter and simply beautiful inside. Please note there is no central heat, but some space heaters do the trick. Comfortable beds, clean, and a overall SUPER cozy space. We loved having our coffee on the porch in the mornings, but note it can get very windy, especially when the fog comes in. However, you can always find a wind protected spot. Highly recommended and definitely a true find.
