Took over 45 min for preferred check in, food was horrible. I was awoken from a nap on our second day by a concierge and two security guards to search our room because “another guest reported the smell of marijuana”. Of course nothing illicit was found in our room and we were offered no apologies

Pros: Stunning landscapes, quick check-in process, no need for dinner reservations, and the Mexican restaurant serves excellent food. Cons: Service quality is average, the main pool is often overcrowded, the preferred pool has limited seating, the beach is poor and unsuitable for swimming, a steep $400 charge for the New Year's dinner, with no alternative celebration options for guests who didn't purchase the dinner. I would not recommend this hotel. It is overpriced and in desperate need of room renovations.

The dinner options where just ok, but a good ok, the bar and pool side food not so good to me but the dining options was above par (did not do room service) and the deserts felt store bought. I hated the bed and the pillows, my room size was good and clean, bathroom was roomy. I wish they had a real walking trail and an on property bike trail.

Loved everything about this property, from the friendly staff to the choice of food, to the beautiful scenery! I would definitely recommend if you’re seeking an all adult, mature environment. I look forward to staying at another Secrets property!

It was a lovely stay and staff was kind, but we were charged the full amount rather than the remaining balance after our deposit that we made two months prior. Although plentiful, dining is more in the 3-4 star range.
