The property manager, Victor, the comfortable beds & spacious and nicely equipped interiors were the high point for our Monday-Thursday Fall getaway.
The user reviews discussing the noise from the public beach parking area the property overlooks set our expectation that there could be some noise during our stay, confirmed by some of the rental contract language that states noise should be expected on the weekends, primarily. We brought noise cancelling headphones to help with sleep. However, we were not prepared for the extreme level of music with heavy bass. Monday night it rained, so no noise.Tuesday, music started at sunset and went to the early hours of the morning. The police came through twice, providing a brief respite, but the cacophony would pick back up within 15 to 20 minutes.
Wednesday was unreal. Cars parked right next to the property wall creating a sensation of being in the living room. Property manager called the police, we called, nothing until they wrapped the party after 2am. Not a great trip for sleep.
Another challenge with the location was the evening traffic, which made getting an uber an impossibility without first walking ~ 1 mile to the North along a very poorly lit, often treacherous sidewalk--many sections are missing so you walk on the shoulder or there were several missing manholes or caved in areas. With proper planning this is manageable, as there are several large grocery stores towards town and the kitchen is nicely equipped for meal prep.
