"Borgo San Pietro is in the charming Tuscan hilltop town of Agnone. We loved being in the historic district and were able to walk everywhere. The hostess, Valentina, was so helpful and always available--she even scheduled a tour in English for us at the Marinelli Bell Foundry. The views from our room were amazing! Be prepared to walk uphill on old Roman streets, some cobblestone. The local residents were all friendly and helpful, especially the Town Hall staff helping us with geneology...

There was also plenty of off-street parking, which was great. The street right outside the hotel is pretty busy, and there are a lot of potholes. "All facilities were closed at the hotel and areas around the hotel were full of broken bricks. The fountain was not working and completely in disarray. Breakfast was really poor. No tea/coffee facility and we had to ask for food to be brought out. This is definitely not a four star hotel. On top of that, when we came back in the evening, there was no one to be found at reception for around an hour!!!!! So anyone could have walked in and around the hotel as they have no security as such, just...
