We were able to drive to Lucca, Florence, Pisa, the train to go to Cinque Terra and explore the local area, The location was fantastic. The countryside is just so beautiful. "Ideal lovely location on a mt hillside with a beautiful sea view and mountain ranges behind us. Charming couple that own the house. Daniele was very helpful getting our dog the correct health certificate papers since we were visiting Italy for 3 months. He went over and above helping us...and we are very grateful. The house is as described-safe area and close to Lucca and Viareggio Beach and town...a fabulous area to visit!!! Perfect location and base to see all the sights in Tuscany and go on...

"We have just returned from a week in Lucca. We had a lovely rine and particularly enjoyed the outside space which really make this rental. The pool was very welcome in the extreme heat and the garden space around the pool is great, with plenty of space to relax and dine. Always able to get shade too. It is 2 separate apartments which worked well as we were 2 families so it was nice to have our own space. The following areas were disappointing and not as expected or advertised - you are renting 2...

"The house is very large on the outskirts of Lucca part way up a hillside in a forested setting, about 10 minutes from the Lucca wall. We enjoyed our two week stay there.
