"Delightful establishment within walking distance of the city centre. Very friendly welcome and Joan was always very helpful and pleasant throughout the stay. Stayed in the single room which although small was very quiet and perfectly comfortable - having the whole upstairs mezzanine area to yourself gives you plenty of space. Kitchen/conservatory area was very clean and nicely decorated and having tea and coffee making facilities along with biscuits and cake available 24 hours a day was very welcome - always a good spread for breakfast as well! Whilst being in easy reach of the city centre, there are a number of excellent restaurants and bars nearby which are well worth checking out for a slightly less touristy experience. Overall a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it. "

"After a long search for stays in Florence, we landed on AdAstra. The name means “to the stars” in Latin which caught my attention, and it checked a couple of our boxes, having a large bathtub and being situated south of the Arno. We weren’t quite sure that we’d have access to a terrace, but we did (in the Exclusive Double Room), and it was so lovely. We enjoyed absolutely everything about our stay, from the breakfast (continental and can get repetitive but is included in the stay, fresh, and includes cappuccino or whatever coffee drink you’d like) to the extraordinarily helpful staff, who were willing to help with everything (including dinner reservations). The property itself is beautiful beyond words and a mix of classic Florentine architecture and modern decor. There are books everywhere to pique your interest, in the room and common area. The area is relatively quiet and surrounded by lovely neighborhood restaurants; we ate at one restaurant in the more touristy area north of the river and decided that we would not do that again! We were always pleased to return to our little sanctuary after exploring Florence and Tuscany during the day. This place is simply amazing and I would absolutely stay again. Thanks AdAstra team for making our vacation unforgettable!"
