This property was understaffed toilet had urine all over it. The tub was no longer white. You could not sleep because protesters have bull horns and metal cans beating on them all night long they want you to pay $81 per night for valet parking when you can’t even get in and out of their building, you had to go around to the side to enter this hotel needs to come off of your list of choices. My first time going to San Francisco and because of this hotel will be my last staff was very rude. No one identified themselves by their name I had to ask the list goes on and on this was horrible

Protesters striking the property with loud drums were on multiple sides of the property. They blocked entrances, yelled at guests and were disruptive. No restaurant services were available. The hotel should provide notification on all booking services that these conditions exist. I would not have booked had I known and will not book at this property again.

The whole hotel! The restaurant was closed and also the nonexistent bar. They had only a snack bar and no other food options. No room service. Picketers at the entrance you have go around them. I used Expedia to book my tickets and stay or would’ve asked for a full refund

Small lobby very crowded. Front entrance closed so other entrance you had to walk through strikers at entrance. If i would gave known you had strikers i wouldn't have booked w you. They were very noisy !

We go to the Nutcracker every year and it's been a tradition to stay here. I don't think we'll be staying here again. It's really gone down the drain. First, I had originally rented a room with two beds. They "upgraded" us to a room with one queen bed. I slept on a poorly dressed roll away bed while my wife and I slept on the queen bed with the kids. Second, there were inconsiderate protestors outside banging garbage cans all into the night so it was difficult to fall asleep. Third, breakfast SUCKED. I've stayed at less expensive hotels that have a better continental breakfast. In short, this was a total disappointment and they have lost our business.

Hotel employees union was striking. They were banging on garbage can lids. It was so loud we almost didn't check in. They were over the top obnoxious! Hotel was great but we won't be coming back...i can't support employees(union striking) who don't give a crap about their hotel guests and behave in this manner.

We were not notified about the ongoing hotel worker strike which may have very well impacted our hotel choice. It was loud and very chaotic inside and outside of the hotel due to picketing. Super disappointing as we enjoy SF and very much looked forward to our stay at The Westin.

I checked in Westin St. Francis San Francisco on 12/5/24. The hotel room given was 943 and I had $30 credit to use. The room phone didn't work and two bulbs were out. I had to walk to the other end of the building for the hallway phone. That was ok as long as the bed was comfortable. But it was not. I went to the front desk next morning asking if I can switch a bed. The front desk was very accommodating and switched my room to 717. But the bed was still uncomfortable. Luckily, the 3d night was canceled in the morning of 12/7 (to avoid migraine). When I checked out, I asked the front desk if I could apply the $30 credit towards my final bill. She confirmed yes. Fast forward to 12/10/24, I called Westin. A front desk lady emailed me 3 statements after I explained to her my purpose of the call. The first document list the destination charges, the 2nd one list the hotel charges in general, the 3rd one is the receipt of my charge of $34.49 from Cafe Rito. I explained to her, I had no issue with the first two bills. The rep kept talking about the first two bills and said the hotel did not charge me $34.49. I kept telling her I only asked about the $34.49 charge. Then she let out a big sign with impatience. That is when said you don't understand the issue and you are impatient. She transferred me to her supervisor Elizabeth. She quickly understood the issue but she defended her employee's unprofessional behavior and cut me off every other sentences. Hope our calls are recorded.

I wish I had known the workers were protesting right in front of the building! They had limited staff and it showed. The room I booked wasn’t clean when I walked in. There was mess everywhere. They put me in a new room that was on a lower floor and didn’t refund any money. Housekeeping never cleaned our room. Concierge lied and said they would bring up my uber eats delivery and never did.

When booking The hotel failed to mention that there was a major strike outside, so everybody was very loud and hitting drums. Also, everybody failed to mention the hotel iwas in major construction. The lobby was closed. The restaurant was closed very disappointed.

It is a great hotel on Union Square. SF has Union Square very nice these days- cleaned up, well-lit, couples and families there even late at night- so that all helps to make the hotel a wonderful experience. The lobby is being redone, so that will also be excellent again soon. Concierge, front desk, and bellhops were friendly and helpful. The rooms were not super exciting except for the views, but what more do you need in SF?

loud angry employees protesting, making loud noise all day and all night. Walking outside felt uncomfortable. I wish I would have canceled the stay and go somewhere else. I wish I can call my bank and consider the charge as fraud

There is a strike going on and there are no services in the hotel. The hotel is under renovation you cannot enter or exit out most doors. The bar room service and restaurant are shut down. The noise from the strike is loud and obnoxious. The are banging trash cans and buckets They have a make shift bar in the lobby I spent $50 on two drinks in plastic cups.They should have let people know this is all going on I would have stay elsewhere.I feel ripped off cause I paid top dollar to stay here!
