"Perfect stay to relax and unwind. The room and outdoor areas were clean and well maintained. The outdoor pool space was the highlight of my stay and provided a haven to swim read and rest. Angela and Mauro were very accommodating and friendly hosts"

"This is a room and ensuite in an apartment where other bedroom(s) are rented to other travelers. There is a shared living room which all guests enter to go to their respective rooms. Rooms are spare and clean. Location is quiet and walkable to shopping and dining. Breakfast is left in your room. Coffee maker, electric kettle, an assortment of packaged cakes, rolls, pastries, some jams, teas and coffee pods. Water, milk, juice boxes in refrigerator. No night light to find your way to bathroom. Friendly host came to let us in and show us the place. Had to call and wait 5-10 minutes for his arrival. We stayed here because it was close to the meeting point for our rainy outing to Etna. Pick a day with good weather if you can. Nearby farm called Bagol’Area, a project in natural and sustainable farming, was very interesting with charming hosts."

"We spent a glorious week at Villa Imbesi. The grounds are spacious, well maintained and very beautiful. We spent many hours enjoying the large swimming pool - a fantastic feature of this property! We visited a few local sights (Alcantara gorge, Mount Etna, Boat trip from Naxos to Isola Bella and more personally the war cemetery in Catania where my husband’s grandfather was laid to rest) but we were also very content to stay at the house and relax around the pool. The house had everything we needed and we were permitted access to an additional room which had another shower/ toilet which was very useful. Claudia and her husband were excellent hosts - meeting us at the villa late in the evening following our arrival flight and even arranging a take-away pizza for us that night which was very kind and much appreciated! We also appreciated the fresh fruit and other items they had left for our arrival. They were unobtrusive hosts but were there if we needed any assistance. Thank you for our wonderful visit!"

"We loved our week staying at this charming property on the lower slopes of Mt Etna. This was a return visit for myself and my wife who stayed at the Old Winery 5 years ago, but this time we enjoyed the space and relaxed atmosphere with our twin boys who loved exploring the huge garden in particular. The house is a delightful blend of character and history, but with a contemporary open plan feel. It's very well equipped and has good wifi. Thick stone walls keep things feeling cool in the heat of the day This is a great base to explore Etna, Taormina and the beautiful hill top villages in the rugged north east of the island, and we had no problems in reaching Enna, Syracusa and Ragusa too"
