Fun stay, but still working out the kinks!
The hosts were amazing!! Super communicative and on top of our questions anytime we reached out. They certainly care about their home and you can tell. They reached out about feedback as well to know how our stay was to see if there could be improvements. I did address several improvements, but was sad that they did not reply back with a thank you or an indication of we’ll look into these items, which was disappointing. The board games were a great touch! We played Sorry and Trivia Pursuit, which was great. The home stayed very cool and had everything we needed. The one improvement would be to ensure that all glasses and dish wear to be checked. We found one glass with a crack and other glasses that were smudged. This is totally fine as we can clean them ourselves and got approval to throw out the wine glass, but it was a bit of a lack of attention to detail. There was also only one set of towels in the secondary bedroom and we had 4 guests using that bathroom. Luckily, they have extra towels in the master bedroom, but this was again a small lack of detail.Our stay was great, but we weren’t able to us the outside much unless we wanted to hear bottles clanking or rumbling around as the home is close to a recycling facility. This was our fault as we could’ve looked closer to the location, but it made the outside not enjoyable in the morning or afternoon. It would stay later at night, but it really hindered our stay. This is unfortunately uncontrollable, but is something to look at if you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay. The place is pup friendly, which is great! Though there are two areas for improvement. One is by the grill and storage area. There is an opening so your furry friend could escape. Luckily, there is a huge surfboard that we used to close the gap, but if your dog is an escapee artist this may not be best. The second of the wall by the hot tub. It’s very small and we almost had a dog fall off. After this, we eyed them like a hawk to ensure they did not go near it. But, maybe having something there a bit higher could help. The fruit trees in the back were beautiful and the flowers in full bloom. It was so pretty. I loved the easy and quick Uber/Lyfts to get into the city. It was super accessible. We truly enjoyed our stay and I would rate them 5-stars if the kinks didn’t occur, but they are fixable so I do hope this feedback is helpful. Thank you for letting us use your home.
