Birthday Trip
I rented this place for my mom and girlfriends to stay at during for a long weekend to celebrate my 30th birthday and I cannot say enough positive things about this spot!! The rooftop has the most amazing sunset views, the space itself is super nice and clean. Extremely convenient and walking distance to many things in university heights. Overall a wonderful stay!

Spring Break
Tons of space for two adults and two teens. Location really is close to everything you could want - beach, zoo, downtown, restaurants. Loved the rooftop for morning coffee and the patio table for when we wanted some shade. And best of all it’s stocked with all the little things that make a home away from home comfortable: beach towels, chairs and umbrella, a cooler and ice packs, toiletries, extra towels, and a great assortment of kitchen basics. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful
We had a great stay. This property was as described, super clean, well stocked with all essentials and more. Location is great, walking distance to shops and restaurants and easy drive to coast, airport and other attractions. Will return.

Above and beyond our expectation!
The place was more than enough for what we needed. Everything we needed was there. It was clean and well furnished. (The one item we noticed was the picture of the dome needs to be updated. The dome cover is not clear as shown but we could still stargaze from the front. We were not disappointed at all.) The rooftop patio including the dome was very enjoyable. The area was quiet and the weather was perfect. The location is also perfect. The owner left good guidelines for us and made themselves available if we needed anything. We will definitely come back!

The property is just wonderful. The property is very comfortable. My son is in the Navy in San Diego. He wanted some home cooking. I made a casserole. The kitchen was stocked with all of the pots and pans that I needed. The only issue that we had was locating the entrance to the property. The entrance is in alley with a different number on the gate. I received my welcome packet on the day of our arrival. We had been traveling from Upstate NY all day. So we had the Vrbo address. Also, with it being dark outside, it was difficult to recognize the house from the pics that were posted on Vrbo. To be fair the host did mention the alley entrance with the different house number on the gate. After traveling all day , we just found that all very confusing. However, again, after we figured out the entrance, we had no other problems with the property. We enjoyed out stay there and would stay again if with visited San Diego again.

We wanted for NOTHING. Everything was included, and we appreciated all the extras. Hosts were wonderfully available when we had a big storm, and all storm related items were perfectly addressed within hours. It was so nice to sit back, enjoy, and spend quality time at night without worrying about hotel neighbors, noise or annoyance. The convenience of a kitchen and washing machine was great. Made everything VERY EASY. Thank you again, when we return we will book again! Highly recommend.

Cute and comfy
This was an excellent stay. Everything was exactly as described. The hosts were responsive and left excellent instructions for operating the electronics. The decor was fun (that mirror in the hallway!! ❤️). The bed and couch were comfortable and we loved having the patio off the bedroom - and of course the rooftop! What a wonderful place to sit in the San Diego sun drinking your morning coffee. As an added bonus, this place had every amenity you could think of, from sun screen to snacks. While we didn’t get a chance to walk around the neighborhood at all, there was a corner store a block away which was nice. The apartment was easy to find and we felt safe. Highly recommend.

Beyond our Expectations
Amanda’s property is a gem and so is Amanda! She was so helpful and accommodating. Toys and items were provided for both my toddler and baby that weren’t expected but well appreciated and made our stay more comfortable and enjoyable for all of us. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. The patio and rooftop are an added bonus and we had a nice view of the sunsets. The location was great, it was a short drive to whatever we needed. There are coffee shops and a pie shop (pop pie co) within walking distance that we highly recommend as well! We loved our stay!

Fantastic place and loved our stay!
What a place! The rooftop balcony with the igloo was spacious and well, just cool … inside fixed up very nice and we felt very safe in and outside . There’s even a neighborhood market / wine store just up the block that made everything so convenient since we relied on Uber for everything else. Close to restaurants in University Heights and Hillcrest… we would definitely stay here again - Amanda was a wonderful host! We really didn’t need anything at all but happen to run in to her and very friendly and quick to give dinner suggestions (at our request) that was greatly appreciated … be sure to read how to get to your entrance - it’s on the backside of the property down an ally . We just read it a little late so my friend arrived a bit before us so it took us a min but that was totally on us. Thank you for a memorable time in San Diego, Amanda!

Fantastic Stay and Wonderful Host!
The location is central to everything San Diego! Basically a short car ride to the beach, the zoo, and everything we wanted to do. The property is wonderfully maintained, clean, and our host was continuously helpful and communicative! We originally thought this space would be too small for the 6 of us but we had no issues whatsoever as the place has a cozy feel to it we really loved. The outdoor table was perfect for our morning breakfast. The closet was fully stocked with all the sheets and towels we could need. They have a tankless water heater so hot water wasn’t an issue, and the roof setup was my morning spot to sit and relax after my runs. The dome was definitely a wonderful addition to the trip. The only thing I’d say is if you need parking (handicapped or otherwise) right outside, there is a tiny short walk to enter the unit from where you park on the street which didn’t matter to us. I highly recommend this rental.

Great location, enjoyed our stay
The home is located exactly where we wanted to be to visit the museums and not too far to reach the beach. Was shocked how quickly we could get to the zoo. Probably saved us tons of time not having to navigate through CA traffic. We had a wonderful time and appreciated the house. The house is well setup and quite comfortable. It’s clean and nice to find someone that doesn’t cheap out on the little stuff such as toilet paper. The only slight issue was parking on the street but it’s not bad.

this place is so unique and quiet but close to everything in San Diego. The rooftop is a great place to go and soak up the california sun or lay under the globe and relax. would definitely recommend to anyone!

Fabulous stay in University Heights
We enjoyed every moment of our 6 night stay. Although it is a compact space, the well equiped casita felt quite roomy and with the outdoor areas, positively spacious. We were travelling without a car and with the use of Uber and a few buses were able to get easily get everywhere we wanted. Trader Joe’s and Ralph’s are a walkable distance away via the Vermont St pedestrian bridge. We did have an issue with the mechanism on the sofa bed failing, but appreciated Amanda’s fast response to provide an alternative. Happy memories of evenings spent in the outdoor spaces here will linger.

All the outside furniture needs replacing they had holes in them and and they could use a bug Light because the Flies were horrendous on the patio and the spiral staircase needs more lighting and the couch would have been nice if it was a L shape not enough seating for four adults
