Just back from a 4 night stay at the Casita - so glad we chose to stay here! We couldn't get a full week, so stayed at the Hyatt Mission Bay for a few nights, then moved here. Exactly as described and all arrangements were flawless. It's located in a quiet residential neighbourhood - at first we thought we'd rather be closer to the beach but decided it was actually better up the hill. The view is spectacular - saw the fireworks from SeaWorld on the first night while dining on the rooftop patio! Scott and Dania gave us great recommendations and were gracious hosts. Our kids had the time of their lives bodysurfing and boogie-boarding on the beach down the hill (boards & skimboards, beach chairs & cooler were at the house). We got hooked on Auzucar, a Cuban style patisserie on Newport - best coffee, amazing pastries. There are many good local markets, including a Trader Joe's so it's easy to pick up groceries or snacks. On the day we checked in, we drove down to the Cabrillo Monument State Park, Point Loma ($5 car) - fantastic views, historical lighthouse, interpreter programme & tidepools. We'd come back to Ocean Beach & the Casita in a heartbeat!
