Exceptional attention to detail thru out. Living area boasts custom built-ins w/ work area, and flat screen. Dining area has custom seating, Sputnik chandelier, & overlooks outdoor Buddha fountain. All new custom kitchen will exceed your expectations, & is highlighted w/ an open lath & plaster feature wall. Kitchen French doors spill open to a private outdoor oasis with expansive deck, water fountain, & al fresco dining. 2 equitable bedrooms feature black out shades, mini split heat & air, ceiling fans, & all new designer furnishings. Walking distance to hip South Park, and North Park scenes. Downtown and Bay are a quick 10 minute Uber or Lyft ride away. Freeway close. Just a few minutes to San Diego's most famous attractions. Perfect Bungalow in a walkable neighborhood.
The Bungalow was clean and has a nice backyard with a deck. The neighborhood was very walkable with lot restaurants. Checking in and out was easy and the owner provided clear instructions.

5 Days in San Diego
We spent 5 days in this VRBO in February, It is located less than 4 miles from Balboa Park, which suited our plans perfectly. The 2-bedroom house suited us perfectly with a kitchen that we used to create our own meals for much of the stay. The owner was responsive to our requests for additional blankets and help with the dishwasher. We recommend it highly.

Such an amazing property!
This was one of the best rentals my husband and I have ever stayed at! The house has everything you need and more, and is in such a convenient location just a short walk to coffee, shopping, and great restaurants in North Park. Dean was also super responsive and helpful during our stay. We can’t wait to come back again!

Cozy with nice outdoor space
Our stay was cozy and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. The backyard space is great for small get togethers. Dean (the host) promptly responded to all inquiries. The back yard has a tangerine tree with lots of ripe fruits. It was a special treat to pick from the tree and enjoy fresh sweet tangerines.

From the adorable curb appeal to the warm, spacious unique interior, this is the perfect spot for a SD getaway! The air conditioners are great for the warm summer days, and the back yard is a serene spot to sit with your fave book or sneak in a nap! We will make this our place for every SD trip from here on out!! Stop searching- just book it!

Amazing Accommodations!
This house is just as it is pictured. It is so comfortable and welcoming. It was extremely clean. The kitchen and bathroom were very well stocked. Communication with the owner was quick and easy. He took an interest in making sure we were happy with everything and offered suggestions on restaurants and must see beaches. It was wonderful to have a parking spot off the street. The location was in a quiet neighborhood and easy access to any road we needed in order to get to your destination.

Purple Panache in San Diego
This beautifully appointed mid-century modern bungalow is in North Park, close to everything. I was here to move my daughter out of her freshman dorm (SDSU) and needed a home base close to campus, the storage unit, the airport, and fun stuff. This place was perfect. Most importantly, we wanted a clean quiet space for us to relax and for my daughter to finish an online exam. We couldn’t have asked for a better place. It is so comfortable and clean. We had plenty of space (2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, big table, outdoor space) and felt right at home. We loved all the decor, the pops of color. Everything we needed was here. The host was very responsive. I would definitely stay here again!

Incredibly sweet, stylish home - walking distance but in a quiet neighborhood
My husband and I had a fantastic stay here. This house was a gem, offering a fully stocked kitchen that made cooking a breeze. The comfortable and clean bedrooms were a delight, and the bathroom with a spacious area for getting ready was a bonus. What truly made this place special was its prime location within walking distance to an abundance of excellent shopping, dining, and entertainment options. I can't say enough about the host's exceptional hospitality. They were incredibly accommodating throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. We're already looking forward to our next visit, and I highly recommend this rental for anyone seeking a memorable San Diego experience.

Everything about the place was super. The location was so close to everything in North Park. Within 10-15 minutes you could walk to great places to eat, drink, and shop. It was a safe area and the house was comfortable. The A/C and heat worked great especially since we stayed in December when we had 65 degree days and 40 degree nights. The beds were comfy. The kitchen was well stocked. The owner was easy to reach, although we didn’t have any issues. Will definitely stay there again.

Exactly as Described - Great Place to Stay
We stayed at Dean's place for 3 weeks and had a fabulous time. Dean was very easy to communicate with and answered our queries immediately. The place was very clean and tidy with everything you could possibly need, and more. Small touches like having dishwasher liquid and washing liquid etc made my holiday so much easier. The freshness of the bedding and towels was 'hotel standard' which was excellent. Overall, we loved our time in North Park, SD and this was made made possible by this great property and host. We would recommend Dean's house to stay in!

Superb rental in a great location
My husband and I spent two weeks in this rental in February. It was exactly as advertised. Well stocked with everything needed for a relaxing vacation. There were 4 luggage racks and dozens of clothes hangers for the bedroom closets — exactly the type of touches I wish were common to more hotels! The owner is very responsive to any questions. The neighborhood is very walkable and felt very safe. There are many restaurants, breweries, stores and even a weekly produce market nearby. I highly recommend this rental!

Amazing home - highly recommended!
I rented here for a month, and I can report everything is as advertised. Check-in was super easy. The house, yard, and neighborhood, all exceeded my expectations. Everything is really clean and organized. The host Dean is very responsive, and took the time to point me toward neighborhood restaurants, grocery shopping, and fun spots. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor deck for taking in the San Diego sun - the waterfalls are a treat! The kitchen, like pretty much everything on the property, is all new, and had everything I needed. The style and design are really fun - lots of mid-century modern surprises. There's a built-in desk that was perfect for getting my work accomplished. And the bedrooms have blackout shades and individual heat and air conditioning. Loved that. Did not need a car. Shopping, bars and restaurants are all walkable. I took Uber to get everywhere else. One day I took Uber downtown, and then a ferry to Coronado Island. Highly recommended. I'll definitely stay here again. Great value for such an awesome property.

Great Trip in San Diego
This was our 1st trip to San Diego, the first week of December, 2022. Although some of the locals were complaining of the chill in the air, as residents of Pennsylvania it was just about perfect weather for December!! Property was just as described, maybe even nicer.. It should check all the boxes for most people... it was exceptionally clean, well furnished, and the decor was modern. Comfortable and private outdoor seating area. Check in was easy. The neighborhood felt safe any time of the day or night and there was plenty of shopping and dining within a 15 min. (North Park) or 20 to 25 min. walk (South Park). If you prefer to drive, parking wasn't as bad as I expected. There is a BBQ joint within a 5 min. walk of the property worth a visit. And a pizza place and brewery in the same area. It's a quiet neighborhood so if you want the hustle and bustle of downtown, you will need to drive. IMHO, an afternoon or two of downtown is all you need. The property has a driveway and plenty of on street parking is available. It's a short drive to the Zoo.... a bit longer to other areas (Coronado, some of the other beach towns and breweries). If you can, try to avoid rush hour !! I think for most people this home would be a perfect base for visiting this part of California.

San Diego Home Base
Comfortable, bright, and light home in a central location for exploring San Diego area. We went to Petco Park for a baseball game, La Jolla for dinner and theater, and Balboa Park for lots of things. The baseball stadium and all that Balboa Park has to offer including the zoo, museums and Globe Theatre are easily accessed from this neighborhood. La Jolla was a bit of a drive but worth it once we got there. The neighborhood itself is very interesting with an easy walk to some good food. We had dinner outside at Dunedin and enjoyed the Awful Waffle for breakfast. Dunedin does breakfast but not until 11:00 am so can't speak to that menu. The home is well set up and we especially appreciated the excellent lighting. We're readers who mostly can't find decent lighting in homes anymore so it was very refreshing. to be comfortable when reading. The backyard is a wonderful escape. The patio swing was a delight and there is nice deck seating for dining al fresco. This home is on a heavily trafficked road. Mostly the noise was minimal but getting in and out of the drive can be a challenge. The kitchen was generally well stocked although some of the cupboards were hard for us to access. We would definitely stay again if we were in the San Diego area.
