Lovely Victorian Home in the Heart of San Diego

The Hardesty House, a historic Victorian landmark in the vibrant Hillcrest area of San Diego, offers modern comforts alongside its notable architecture. With six bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, it can comfortably accommodate large or multigenerational groups. It is wheelchair accessible and has private parking. Located walking distance from San Diego's top restaurants, bars, and a short drive to attractions like Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, Convention Center, downtown, and the beaches.
The space
The Beautifully Restored "Hardesty House," a Historical Victorian era, Queen Anne Landmark built in 1905. The house is on the National Register of Historic Places, notably because of its architectural and design significance, marking the era of transition from Victorian to Craftsman.
The European-style Private Garden offers two seating areas and a BBQ grill, as well as a ADA compliant wheelchair ramp. The house offers two private driveways,
accommodating 4 vehicles, as well as free on street parking.

The house is a six bedroom, three and a half bathroom, wheelchair accessible home, perfect for large groups and multigenerational families traveling together.
The first floor consists of a living room, a large formal dining room, a kitchen, a half-bath, and a wheelchair accessible bedroom with its own bathroom.
The second floor consists of a spacious, tastefully furnished master suite with a private bathroom, and two bedrooms as well as a shared full bathroom. We also have a small gallery in the hallway.
The third floor is the attic, it consists of two bedrooms and the family/game room. You have tree-top views of the city from the third floor.

Fantastic house, location, and host
We had a family group of 11, including my four grandchildren, there to celebrate a landmark birthday. I had lived in Hillcrest in the past and had hoped to find a place there, since it's so central to everything. Amir's house was perfect! First, it's beautiful, just as the photos show. And he is a most accommodating and welcoming host. It's easy walking distance to eateries, cafes, and just a short drive to Balboa Park (the zoo, museums, kids' train ride and carousel); to Petco to see the Padres; to La Jolla to stroll past the seals; to Coronado beach and the Hotel Del; to the Sunday morning Hillcrest Farmers Market. Parking is easy in the driveway, codes allow easy entry, beds are very comfy, bathrooms are lovely and spotless, the a/c keeps the entire house comfortable. The pretty yard beckoned, but we really didn't have time to take advantage of it. Do yourself a favor when you come to San Diego and stay at Amir's wonderful place. It's now part of our lifetime memories!
