"Lovely hotel and good value off season as limited facilities available. It was great as it was nice and quiet. Beautiful sea views and location. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Just a couple of disappointments - the balcony had a very high front so when you sat down you couldn’t see the view! The sides were low so very open to neighbours and anyone smoking on their balcony. We had to keep the doors shut at times to keep smoke out of our room.( We were told we couldn’t swap rooms ) Also worth noting that all the balconies were in the shade in the afternoon when we visited in late September. "

We told them we had to leave earlier than the breakfast time on the last day, and they brought a selection of food to us the evening before without us even asking. The staff and mgmt were friendly and helpful (eg, they gave me a room close to the reception check-in, they provided transport to the train station when no other option was available). The problem is while the crew might be good they need to run a tighter ship, The property is showing its age, it’s up the hill from the town and is oriented to large groups. As a solo, shoulder season guest, we, the few, are lost in the cracks of pre-season prep. "
