"We were 9 and had a great week at this villa. The pool area and pool house is where we hung out most of the time. Close to many beaches and Tropea. I would recommend for a large group that wants to relax and enjoy the Calabria weather by the pool. The communication with Francesca and Mimmo was great, very responsive when we called."

"The hot water in the shower did not work for most of our stay, the issue was flagged multiple times but only resolved on the last day. One of the days we had to boil water to shower as hot water was not working at all. A somewhat adequate compensation was initially offered but later he changed the terms, saying extra charges for linen and towels "were being waived" and that was part of our compensation, however, at the time of booking and writing this review there is no mention of said charges...

"Wir waren das 4. Mal in Kalabrien, das erste Mal in dieser Anlage. Das war mit Abstand die beste Unterkunft, richtig schön, es gab nichts auszusetzen. Wunderschönes Haus, schöner Garten, die überaus hilfsbereite Rossella, einfach toll!"

"The property was not what had shown to be , very small for a group of 15 people and the bedroom and bathroom in some of the rooms you can hardly fit in the showers , very small indeed, the swimming pool was amazing they all enjoyed themselves in pool, the view was beautiful some days and some days you couldn’t see anything because of the smog , the whole house was too small altogether"

"A wonderful house, the photos don’t do it justice! We were 2 families of 4 and had a wonderful time. Beautiful views, good pool and very comfortable (and thankfully air conditioned!) bedrooms. The house is about 10 mins (drive) from a super beach and 25 mins from Tropea. The agents Enticoa Travel were very helpful. Note, a car is definetely needed and the roads are quite winding but not a problem."

"We travelled here with another couple. The villa was very comfortable, well-stocked and spacious. We simply loved the deck overlooking the sea. We had breakfasts and dinners outside. It was a close drive to Tropea and we spent a day there doing a boat tour and sightseeing in the Old Town. This area is picture perfect and this villa was a perfect place to stay. a d"

"Casa la Salamander is a fabulous property in a wonderful location with stunning views. Lovely and spacious outdoor spaces with private and convenient access to a beautiful quiet beach. Our feedback would relate to the marketing of the property which states 2153 three storey villa which is what we expected. What we got was actually the ground floor only (including three bedroom) and a two bedroomed annex. This was not clear from the information listed. Although there are a couple of photos of...

"The photo's on the website do not do it justice - much bigger in real life. Lovely, helpful owners. A bit more shade at the pool area would have been nice, but still a wonderful place to unwind."

"A really nice property, in a wonderful spot overlooking the beach. A walk down some steps and you're on a small, but pretty private beach. Location is a little bit out of town so no restaurant open in walking distance, but it did mean it was very peaceful. The management company were very responsive and helpful when we needed to postpone due to covid."
