This hotel is very poorly portrayed in Expedia. Essentially, it is someone's house, where a couple of rooms are rented out. There is no feeling of a hotel, no free access into the house - instead you must always ring the doorbell and hope someone is in the house. We paid for a junior suite and arrived at the house only to be put in the basement room, with a bathroom that was akin to camping. Noone else was staying at the house as guests at the time, so the other rooms were empty, so it is unclear why we were put in the basement room - with no view of the lake, dark since it was a basement, and a horrible bathroom/shower. We requested a better room the next day and were given our booked junior suite, which was much better. However, the room is very old, with creaky floors. Some people call that "quaint". The breakfast was very simple - cold cereal with some cut up fruit and croissants, coffee/tea. I read on the internet that the food was so great. We didn't experience that - it was very simple. Corn flakes, croissants, fruit.
Lastly, and also importantly, it is very inconveniently located as it is 20 km out of town. The restaurants and evening activities are far away and taxis are expensive, so the town bus is the only option.
Read between the lines when you read the other glowing reviews, and read with a more critical eye. We do not recommend this hotel at all.
