This 7 bedroom, 6 bathroom home is the perfect gathering spot for a family or friends retreat. Located in North Central San Antonio, The Star House, has a beautiful view of the Church of Jesus Christ temple. This home has two master suites one includes grab bars in the bathroom for those who need them. The five other bedrooms have a decor that could be featured in a children's or teen magazine. The great room, family room, and loft are large gathering spaces for relaxing, or watching TV. There is one large gourmet kitchen and one service kitchen that are perfect for cooking for large families or groups. There is also a kitchen nook with table that seats 8 and a relaxed formal dining room with seating for 10. This house also features four sets of washers and dryers located throughout the house!

The back yard is has been designed and modeled after the Texas Hyatt Hill Country Resort. There is a 1/2 court basketball court, trampoline, hot tub, tether ball, and large tree house style playground with comfort commercial grade rubber flooring. This backyard also features two areas of patio space with furniture, a large outdoor grill, and custom Texas fireplace for a night of cooking s'mores! Last, but certainly not least, are the two large, resort style, pools. One pool has depths of 3',5',3' and the other pool is 9' all the way across. The pools are not heated. With swings, lounge seating and outdoor dining you may find yourselves outside the majority of your stay!

Located within walking distance to the LDS temple, it is also close to a large HEB grocery store, and many restaurants located in the Stone Oak area. The Star House is also 20 minutes from Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and 35 minutes from Sea World. It is also located just 35 minutes from Canyon Lake, 20 minutes from downtown San Antonio, and less than 15 minutes from the airport. It is a beautiful centralized location if you are visiting the San Antonio area.

Important: If you choose to stay here there is a chance that part of my family and I will be staying in the casita that is on the side of the house because this is our home. We will not be using the outdoor space during your stay. You are welcome to use the outdoor space at your leisure. We have a large parking pad on that side of the house and garage parking with it's own entry which creates a lot of privacy between the casita and the house which you are renting.

Best VRBO we have ever had by far and we have been doing this for 11 years...If I could give ten stars I would...Everything you could possibly need was furnished and the house itself was off the charts..We had 18 of us and every room was perfect in size, beds beyound comfortable and spacious rooms..I haven't even mentioned the "mini-resort" back yard with a pool, hot tub, basketball court, playground and fireplace and hugh BBQ pit...Kids played tag and swam every night..Entire family would recommend this property 100%!!!...Loved it!!!

Unsafe and unmaintained- avoid this property
This was by far the worst rental experience we’ve ever had. The house is extremely old and poorly maintained, and we ran into major issues throughout our stay. The worst was when the water heater burst in the middle of the night, flooding the living room. We had to climb into the attic to cut the water off ourselves to prevent even more damage—if we hadn’t acted quickly, the ceiling could have collapsed on our kids. After that, we had no hot water in two bathrooms for the rest of the trip, and repair people were constantly in and out, completely ruining our holiday. On top of that, the pool was dirty and unusable when we arrived, the dishwasher stopped working during our stay, and the lights flickered in multiple rooms. The owners refused to offer any sort of discount or compensation, which was incredibly frustrating. This house is not safe or suitable for renters. I wouldn’t want anyone else’s family to go through the stress and disappointment we experienced. Avoid this property.

Fantastic Stay
Our family had a fantastic stay in San Antonio in a great location . The home was amazing and the photo's don’t do the home justice. The home was very spacious and clean for our family including the comfortable beds. 2 Kitchens were well appointed as well as the grill outside. Loved the 4 washers and dryers as well. Our granddaughters loved the girl bedrooms, secret hiding space and reading nook. The outdoor pools, playground and basketball court kept the family busy. Courtney was a very informative regarding the home and area. We would definitely stay here again.

This home was very fun for all ages. We enjoyed the pool and the playground as well as the large living space for our large group! However, if you are an unpacker like we are, this home may not be for you. The family resides here when no one rents it out (which is stated in the description but we failed to see that part) so all of the closets and drawers are filled with their family’s items, which was a bit different to us. Just something to note! We did enjoy our stay and the hosts were very helpful. (:

The house and pool were amazing. We had our 3 sons and their families for a total of 8 adults and 6 kids (age range from 5-14). All found lots to do...basketball court, outdoor swings, pool, and plenty of chairs for lounging and visiting. Comfortable evenings outdoors with pool water fall and night lighting. We had one glitch with one of the AC units breaking, so one hot night for part of our family, but repairs were made next day. Repair guy wanted to come the following day, but host demanded the fix happen sooner and it did at 10 pm that night! Do check out the bed configuration before reserving to make sure your head count jives with number and size of beds offered. Nice part of town (gated community) and convenient to HEB, BBQ and Tex-Mex restaurants.

Great Place to stay. Spacious living space. Everyone will have their own space and living area. Seperate kitchens, living and play areas for every age. 6+ bathrooms. I never heard any of the kids getting rowdy playing their games and laughing and playing. Large living and large sofas for everyone to gather and play games watch a movie or just visit. This house was more than what we expected! We loved how big and how much there was to do throughout the property. The hosts were great and extremely accommodating! Courtney was a pleasure to communicate with and any minor issues that arises she notified me immediately. Our only small complain was the pool had a lot of chlorine, the host explained the situation and I understood it was unexpected and they tried their best to make the pool be as clean as possible. But since one of the biggest reasons we decided on this house was the awesome pool it was a bit disappointing. Again, I think they did the best they could and communicated. The issue before we even arrived. We would definitely stay at this house again and would recommend it to our friends and family. The property was very clean and smelled really good when we walked in.

Large home with great backyard
Our family of 14 stayed at the home. Plenty of room for everyone to be together or places for smaller groups to be together. The backyard pool, treehouse, trampoline and basketball area were a big hit with our family. Hosts were very responsive.

Great Family get-away!
We had a large family of 18 and this property was perfect. It was very comfortable with a lot of space. The outdoor area was beautiful and we had a terrific time fellowshipping around the grill and pool area. A great backyard with many amenities for the kids to play. Courtney was a fantastic host and was vey accommodating and responsive. If you are looking for a great place for a larger group, you won’t find a better property. Lots of space for our family of 15.
The outdoor space was lovely for the children. They spent lots of time out there and particularly liked the hot tub as the weather was pretty chilly. It did take quite a while for the hot tub to warm up and it didn't hold the heat very well..but they enjoyed it regardless. Toys and games galore, and shelves of books available. We were encouraged to use them and the kids did. There was plenty of room inside the house to spread out too. The full kitchen had everything we needed for our weeks stay. The beds were comfortable . The owner was very receptive to questions and communicated well. The open kitchen/living /dining area had space for all of us when we wanted to be together , but there are other family type rooms to use also. Grocery store very close and you can walk to Starbucks if you are so inclined.

Family reunion/surprise birthday party gathering
We had 18 people (5 families) to house for a surprise party for my husband. I flew everyone in from out of state and we headed to the house. The kids LOVED the backyard! It was definitely the highlight of the trip! Having that many rooms gave the adults separation from the kids and the girls could sleep in one room and the boys in another. The house was great, the neighborhood is beautiful. Starbucks, H-E-B, great restaurants all close by. Courtney was quick to respond anytime I sent her a message which I appreciated. We would definitely rent with them again! The kids were so bummed to have to go home. Everyone had a great time!

Great getaway that's close to anything you could want
The pictures don't do the house and outdoor space justice. We'd originally planned to get out and experience some of San Antonio, but - aside from some morning hiking - we stayed at the house and had a great time. Adults and kids alike very much enjoyed it. Note this is someone's actual home with their things throughout, so it's different than staying in a space that is owned for rental purposes only. Definitely pay the $ for the rental insurance.
