The house looks like it is in the middle of an update. All the lighting had been changed out but the ceiling had bot been repainted. The hardwood floors were sanded but not refinished. I'm sure some of the cleanliness was due to the r remodel.
There was minimal kitchen supplies to use for cooking and no toilet paper in any of the 4 bathrooms and bath towels were limited. The house was located in a great area and conveniently located near a lot of major attractions like six flags, sea world, and the Alamo. Be prepared to walk up a 100 foot long driveway as it is very steep and even our Ford explorer nearly scraped entering the driveway. Overall a good trip but could use a lot of tlc on the finishing of projects and cleanliness. If you come prepared you should be ok.
Not clean - feet were black by day one.
Not stocked - no cookware to speak of. Large dirty pots. Not a full set of silverware, glasses or plates. One dishwasher pod.
Not maintained - deck is falling apart. Broken furniture. Completely mismatched. Hot tub didn't work.
Took a day to get anyone to the house to address issues - by that time half the family was gone.
Will never stay again.
This property provided great space for our family. The sleeping arrangements were great. The patio, views and fire pit were a hit with the family. The property manager was attentive to any needs we had. Covid safe.

Great space for a large group but wasn’t the best stay
The home was a great size for our party. I have stayed at many VRBO homes and usually I am provided instructions as to all the do’s and do nots such as where to find bath towels, soap, shampoo etc. I wasn’t even sure if the rooms were properly cleaned nor received a message about the property being ready. It wasn’t until I sent a text asking for the code that I received any type of response or information. When we arrived there were no towels in any of the bathrooms, no toilet paper, and no detergent to wash dishes. Also in a home of that size there should always a complete set of cooking pans in order to prepare meals. There was only one pan and tons of big pots which wasn’t very useful. I organized this trip and I take a lot of pride in making sure everything is perfect for those who we invite. I felt as if the whole weekend I heard so many complaints and then had to stop whatever I was doing to call you or message the individual who was managing the home. It is a beautiful home on the outside but it needs so much love and care in the inside. I rarely write any negative reviews but I just had to express my concerns. I talked the group out of renting rooms at a nearby resort because I thought it would be so much better renting a big home equipped with all we needed so we could have an enjoyable Halloween.

Looks a lot better in pictures
The property was very rundown and I’m guessing has been a rental for a very long time. If you plan to cook you better bring things. On top of that the majority of the things in the kitchen were dirty. Deck and outdoor area need serious attention. Did it work for what we needed? Yes we made due but will stay elsewhere on my next trip to the area. If you don’t care about all I mentioned above this house will sleep a ton of people.
We rented this house for a birthday dinner party celebration. Total group was about 20 adults and the space fit our needs perfectly. The open concept kitchen and living room were great spaces for serving food and gathering. The deck is huge and the views are gorgeous! The deck could use some updating (old boards) but overall was stable, spacious, and provided the outdoor entertainment views that we wanted. I was worried about cleanliness due to COVID but the property manager advised me that they had the house cleaned right before our stay. Everything smelled & looked clean upon arrival. The property manager also notified me she that the downstairs bathroom sink was clogged. The plumber was there to fix it before we even checked in. Overall, the property manger was communicative and VERY helpful in getting our dinner party together. All bedrooms were spacious, had multiple beds, and plenty bathrooms to accommodate 15+ adults. There is even a small fenced in back yard where some of my guests gathered! I wish I would have known that the deck table was also a fire pit!! For the price & location- this place can’t be beat! Warning: the driveway is STEEP- my SUV struggled to make it up to the top- so beware! Guess that is the price you pay for views of the mountains & city!!
Excellent house for a bachelor party. The deck was very nice, pool table was nice to have (although the bumpers have lost most of their rebound). Limited kitchen items but we had enough to make it. Water pressure is finicky - can’t have many faucets running at the same time. Overall really nice place.
Limited cookware, serving utensils and drink ware. Great seating for eating but not for congregating. Sleeps plenty...some beds comfortable some not. Views from patio were great. Some areas are unsafe for animals and people. Watch out for your small children.
Floors were sticky; table and counter surfaces were filthy and had to be scrubbed thoroughly before use (we were told this was due to the sanitizing chemicals used - however this was nasty! Socks and feet were black within minutes - bring your swifter wet-jet).
Our dogs found blue pills on the floor in one of the bedrooms. There was dirt, debris, and cobwebs with living critters!
Multiple kitchen appliances did not work. Coffee lovers, bring your own coffee pot. Although there are two dryers, it is obvious that past renters have failed to clean the lint traps. It takes 3+ hours to dry 3 towels. Dryers need to be taken apart and cleaned. Fire hazard - we watched another home approximately away burn to the ground within half an hour!
First, we never received instructions on how to access the property- It took us calling (no answer) and then texting to get a code-The property was dirty upon arrival (literally had no been cleaned from previous guests stay). The pictures posted online compared to the actual place looked as though they may have been filtered- the place was not maintained properly. We were moved to another location since this one was dirty. That house was clean but no essentials- no toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, etc. there was no hot water in the kitchen and upstairs bathrooms (we all had to share the bottom 2 bathrooms to shower). Televisions were inoperable- the living room furniture looked like it was discarded on a curb and picked up and put in this house- they were so dirty and dingy. The property manager issued a refund for the lack of essentials- no hot water or TVs, but it was such a minimal amount refunded it was not worth the time.... especially considering the previous home and the condition it was in. This was the worst VRBO experience and will definitely never book these properties again.
House was perfect for our needs. View from deck is ten out of five stars, just awesome. If you know what you're getting into with this house you'll enjoy it (two "suites" downstairs [i.e. connected bathroom and bedroom]), then a kind of jack and jill upstairs (two bedrooms, two toilets, one shower) with a bonus room (no connected bathroom) with like 5 or so beds in there.
Downsides:
-not a ton of privacy if you have more than 4 couples coming in
-microwave was broken/wouldn't turn on (oven worked fine, though)
The upside? [LOTS!]
-views are incredible, deck is spacious and awesome
-love the windows everywhere, weather wasn't awesome one of the days we were there but still got to enjoy the views
-it's about as convenient as you can get with super quick access to the Rim & La Cantera (fantastic shopping/food/golf/etc.)
-property manager was responsive and helpful -- made the whole process a breeze
Enjoyed and would stay again!
My experience was different than I’m used to with HomeAway. I had to call twice to get the code. When we arrived at 430pm, when checking was 4pm the cleaning personnel was still there. The side patio door did not lock and we were concerned for our safety. Other than those few things that can be addressed and taken care Of. The house is Beautiful and great location. We enjoyed our stay.
This house worked out very well for our Thanksgiving stay. There were 11 of us. Grandchildren 21 to 6 yrs of age. The location was perfect for going to Six Flags and The Turkey Trot in downtown San Antonio. Had groceries delivered by HEB that worked out very well. Owner was very quick to respond to any questions that we had. Lot of places to eat in the area. Also a great movie theatre that we saw Frozen at. Loved that there were two bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs. We are senior citizens and it was nice we did not have to climb stairs. Perfect house for a large group.
Location and neighborhood are great! Nice house with lots of room. We found TV streaming features somewhat cumbersome, and with no access to regular cable TV, had limited viewing for live sports casts.

The place was really nice. My family really enjoyed the house!! Great vacation home.
Driveway was very steep!! Scene from the patio was breathtaking at night.
Had a great stay with our family group of 11 which included 2 babies, 1 child, and 2 sets of grandparents. Was nice to have 2 rooms on main floor for the grandparents. Loved that we had access to the community pool (had the pool to ourselves most of the time!). Great location, able to watch fireworks from the balcony. Excellent communication by host. Could have been a little cleaner in some areas, but overall nice stay for us.
This home was very beautiful! It was also very huge. We had enough room to fit three of our individual families into the one home with no problems at all. The upstair room with the four beds was perfect for all the girl teenagers to be together, and they loves that. We were a little bit nervous about the driveway, but we had some good drivers. We were able to fit four cars at the top of the driveway. Evelyn was a great host and we will be back again.

12-Man Golf Group Enjoyed It
First, Evelyn was very responsive, helpful, and supportive. I'd be comfortable renting any property she manages.
House comments: Yes, the driveway is steep. Put it in low and you'll be fine going up. We had two 4-door pickups and a Honda Odyssey, and there was plenty of room to park & turn around. Roomy 2-car garage, you could comfortably park 4 big vehicles, and 5 if you had someone directing traffic & set some rules. Visually intimidating, but really, not an issue.
Bathrooms - 5 toilets. The upstairs bathroom has a shower/tub in the middle and two half-baths on either end. Proved handy for our all-adult-male group. Had two toilets clog, but easily plunged them. Hard to say if that was on our end or the house. I've never clogged a toilet in my life; my brother clogs them all the time. Probably operator error. 3 showers was enough for our group, staggered over the course of the day.
Beds - Easily enough beds for 12 to have their own. I think we had two extra pullouts. The 3rd upstairs bedroom is a little tight; 5 beds and a bit of a snore festival. It'd be perfect for up to 10-12 kids; they'd never get to sleep with all the playing possibilities.
Living spaces - wonderful! Main TV/LR room can sit 3 big guys each on two couches, plus a big chair good for 1.5 large men or 2 smaller people. 4-person small table off the kitchen and 3-4 seats at the bar and everyone is right in the heart of the action, watching the NCAA tournament or listening to the daily golf tournament results. Super space for interaction. Pool table room and big dining table with 8 chairs, can sit all 12 dudes at it if you squeeze in. Can't say enough about the opportunity to male bond in the downstairs spaces. Outside deck is huge, could probably host a party of 20 easily.
Kitchen - best stocked of any guest house I've been in. And now it's better stocked after we left our salt/pepper/spices/napkins/oil/etc, etc. Lots of big pots & pans, seemed like at least 2 of all sizes. Pretty easy to cook for 12. One of our number managed to clog the kitchen sink twice, but again, operator error. Easy enough to disassemble the sink trap and yell at him to not put an entire head of broccoli down the disposal and/or a dozen eggshells, without running the water & grinder together.
Location: Neighborhood is quiet, and easy to get to I-10 and 1604. La Cantera and Cedar Creek courses are 5 minutes away. Fiesta TX also 5 min.
TV - is a Roku smart TV. Know your Hulu/Sling/Netflix passwords.

Very limited parking.Great View and Deck. No TV in Master bedroom
The house had lots of beds for sleeping. There was only one TV where everyone could watch in the same place. No TV in the master bed room. The deck area and the view from the deck was very nice. There was very limited parking close to the house.
Very easy to get there from I-10 and close to shopping areas.

great place to stay for my big family
We had a wonderful time. Plenty of towels, and beds for our large group. The kitchen was stocked well with pots, pans, and bowls for us to prepare our Thanksgiving meal. Our family really enjoyed the pool table, and we used the outdoor fire pit at night to make s’mores. Property has 2 washers and two dryers which was really awesome. We had a great holiday staying here.

Potential, but needs attention.
This house was pretty disappointing. It has the potential to be a beautiful place, but needs attention and cleaning. When we arrived, it seemed as though someone was still in the house cleaning, although no one was there. There were keys on the counter, cleaning supplies on the table, towels randomly on the counter not folded. The couches are old and have blankets covering them, the wood floor is discolored, the laundry room had things stacked on the washer and dryer, debris all over the floor, walls were patched but not painted, bathroom towels smelled like unwashed kitchen towels/grease, cans, bags and trash littered around the yard, refrigerator and coffeemaker were dirty, to name a few things. The driveway is VERY steep and narrow and difficult for our truck to get up. We did not received check in instructions or any other instructions for the home. We had to text when we got there so we could get in. No check out instructions on the VRBO and we were told the checkout instructions were in the house along with other instructions, but we did not find any. We had to request check out instructions the day we left. We accidentally left a couple important work shirts in one of the closets. The host commented that she found them and would send them our way. We are still waiting on them 2 weeks later- our fault, I know. The house was disappointing considering the pictures on VRBO and definitely the least taken care of of all the homes we have stayed in through VRBO.
