"Older hotel but good location and good value"

"Beautiful, simple room overlooking the river. Staff was very nice and friendly, however, seemed to be new and untrained in the hospitality industry. The place could use a good cleaning - the ceiling lights were full of dead flies. Breakfast is included, but very simple. Functional, but not great. The restaurant, however, is excellent. Overall, for the price and location, it's a great stay. "

"Great place to stay. Absolutely warm family atmosphere. My 4 bed dormitory room was great, next to the toilets and bathrooms. The facilities were great - 2 lovely lounge. Outside portico lovely for outdoor breakfast. The kitchen has everything needed eg for heating up food (microwave) though it doesn't have a stove. The free breakfast was simple with bread with jam/butter and coffee (Nescafe Gold) and bananas - for me it was great. The people running the hostel were warm, friendly and helpful....

"We booked this guest house based on other reviews, and found it didn’t really match up. From the brown towels, brown bed linen and brown blankets to the access to the rooms via a yard full of junk and up uneven stairs it was disappointing. The owner is friendly and breakfast is ok. We booked and paid for two nights but left after one. Would not return."
