Disappointing Stay – Not Recommended
We recently spent 16 days at this resort, and unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. While there were a few positives, poor management and avoidable issues overshadowed our experience.
Food Quality & Safety:
The food was below average, with very limited options. Despite requesting no pork due to dietary restrictions, pork still ended up on our plates. Mislabeled buffet dishes presented a serious health hazard, particularly for those with allergies.
Staff & Service:
The front desk staff were unhelpful, condescending, and lacked basic hospitality. No one welcomed us upon arrival or asked about our stay during checkout. Most staff spoke no English, creating a significant communication barrier. Many appeared overworked, tired, and borderline rude, though the cleaning staff were a standout—always smiling, helpful, and pleasant.
Facilities & Power Outages:
The constant power cuts were the biggest frustration. Outages happened multiple times daily, leaving us without Wi-Fi, lights, TV, or running water. After returning from safari excursions, we couldn’t even shower—completely unacceptable.
Highlights:
The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The animation team was fun, with a great Lion King show. The location is another plus, with beaches and restaurants just a 15-minute drive away.
