Ruth’s apartment provided exactly what four adults visiting Salzburg needed. The apartment was just as described in the listing. Plenty of room, well equipped, and located in nice neighborhood. Communication with the host timely and informative. We would certainly stay again if opportunity comes up.

Location! Location! Location!
A delightful apartment, perfect for 2 friends. We love to cook, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The neighborhood is very quiet. We are walkers, and the location was central to everything we wanted, from the Fortress, to the concert at Marble Hall. We even walked from the train station when we arrived and to the airport when we left.

Salzburg’s lovely
Ruth did a great job of providing a map to the area with important routes on it. The bus to town, about 10 mins, was easy. Get a Salzburg card! The apartment was clean, comfortable and quiet. There was a very nice bakery nearby so breakfasts were great. We particularly enjoyed the balcony We had a very pleasant stay.

Just As Described
The apartment was just as described and very spacious, especially for the two of us. The nicest feature was the location with everything you need within walking distance including old town Salzburg. With parking included it worked out great for our one week visit to Salzburg and the surrounding area. Would stay again if visiting Salzburg.

Ruth’s apartment was excellent. We are a family of five and it had plenty of room for everyone. Also great to have a full kitchen for our use. Would rent this again if the opportunity arose.

Winter break
The 3 room apartment is very spacious, spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well equipped. It is in a quiet street, yet 15 minutes walk from the historical centre. We had a lovely time and wished we could have stayed longer than just 4 days.

Clean & very well equipped appartment..
We had a very good enjoyable stay at this apartment. Customer service was excellent, very quite location but all shops not to far away. The only thing that I personally thought that was missing was a little garden area but this would not put me off from booking again. Good local bus service to the town & airport. Thank you for being so helpful with our stay in Austria.

Nice apartment and a good location. Ruth was very helpful and accommodating.
Public transportation was very close. No bakery or market in the immediate vicinity though. If you like walking you can easily walk across the River to any of the sites or the sites on the same side of the River. The apartment had anything you needed and for any questions Ruth was always available.

Nice, spacious apartment in a nice neighborhood
The apartment was spacious. The kitchen was well supplied. We cooked in twice. The back deck looks at the Alps. As you walk down the street you also stare at the Alps. There are several ways to get to the apt by bus from the old town. It takes 15+ minutes, including the wait for the bus. The walk to stores is about 10 minutes.

Home away from home!
We were extremely pleased with our stay in the 3 room apartment. The pictures were very accurate and the apartment is spacious. The building is tucked away is a nice QUIET residential neighborhood about 20-25 minute walk to the Old Town. There are some restaurants closer. The apartment was very clean and well stocked with extra linens. There is a peekaboo mountain view from the bathroom and one of the bedrooms. We had two kids under two with us so the kids chair and hammock was a nice bonus. Ruth did everything to accommodate our needs. We would most definitely stay here again. Thank you for making our Salzburg trip memorable!

3 Room Apartment
We spent two weeks in Austria and found the accommodation to be generally expensive and the service poor. This place was the exception to the rule and by far the best place we stayed in during our time in Austria. The apartment was spacious, clean, and had all the comforts of home - including ample towels, high chairs, and baby cots (if needed). The owner was friendly and very helpful - she even drove me to the airport with all our luggage. The apartment is a pleasant 20 minute walk to the old part of town. Several supermarkets are close by. I would highly recommend staying here. Next time we are in Salzburg we would certainly rent this property again.

Great short trip to Salzburg.
The apartment was stocked with everything that we needed, even a few spices and cooking items. Clean and presentable. The maps provided and welcome packet/binder were very helpful. Both checking in and checking out were very convenient. My wife complained that it was loud our second night, although it was Halloween. Otherwise the neighbourhood was pleasant. Convenient location for all of our travel plans, but away from the hustle and bustle. More then enough room for a family of five with puzzles, books and games for down time entertainment. Be cognisant of tourist tax and additional occupant fees and plan accordingly. Bars lining the kitchen counter were loose. Not sure of their purpose, but may need to be removed entirely or just secured. We would consider staying here in the future.

Disappointing.
Having done our own property letting in the past we were very shocked to find how tired and dated the property was presented, particularly the bathroom and kitchen. Other issues included other people's washing on clothes airers in the corridor outside the apartment, and the properties balcony overlooking a back garden which was a dumping ground for old broken furniture. On check-in we had an issue which needed to be addressed. This should have been easily resolved but was turned into a much larger problem by the poor attitude of the neighbour acting on behalf of the owner who was absent at the time of our visit. To conclude, in the end all of the problems started to ruin our holiday so after four days we decided to move out.

Best VRBO of our trip!
Dr. Ruth's apartment located just outside downtown Salzburg was the best VRBO of our vacation through southern Germany and Austria! She was the most engaged and thorough owner that we have worked with. She gave very good directions to get to the house. There was one little glitch with door entry that was a result of VRBO sending an old email; she has updated entry with electronic locks. So if you get an email from VRBO regarding a lock box, please contact Dr. Ruth for more accurate entry info. But she responded to us immediately and got us in the door quickly! The apartment is well-furnished, comfortable and very clean. She has a binder with lots of information regarding the apartment, who to contact in the case of an emergency (something I've never encountered in other VRBO's and was very appreciated--thankfully not needed), and recommendations about what to see and where to eat in the area. We rented a car, and had easy parking available. But we also like to use public transport in a city, and were a 3 minute walk from the bus stop that was only 3 or 4 stops from the Salzburg city center. It's a wonderful place to stay, and if we make it back to this area, we will definitely see if it's available!
