This is an older family-owned hotel that is quiet and clean. The staff were friendly and informative. The included breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. We found a slight odour of cigarette smoke even though it is a non-smoking hotel. There is an excellent Thai restaurant just across the street.

They offered a nice breakfast, had quaint decor (edelweiss wallpaper), welcoming and friendly staff. However the bed was too soft for my taste.

Really lovely little hotel, just a 10-15 minute walk to Mirabell. It might not be the most modern of hotels but it gave it its charm and we had everything we needed. The staff were really friendly and accommodating, and it suited our needs for our stay. We'd definitely stay here again if we came back.

Comfortable stay
The staff were very friendly and nice. We enjoyed the stay! The breakfast was also reasonable and had a wide variety of choices. The room was very clean but there was a hole in a shower screen, which caused a water leak. The location was perfect for traveling around and using buses.

The staff were very helpful and the location good in as much as we enjoy walking so a good brisk hike to the old city in 20-25 mins. However, it was noisy outside on the street so that’s where the white noise came in handy!!

Lovely Hotel
Beautiful, Victorian looking hotel with excellent service. The family that runs this hotel is so sweet! The room itself was very clean and comfortable. The area is quiet, so you are guaranteed good sleep. It’s located within 5 minute walk to the train station and around a 15-20 minute walk to the part of the city across the river.

The property is very old. It is a very basic old fashioned hotel with little use of technology. They give you physical keys to open the door of the room. There is no air-conditioning in the building. It is close to the train station. The breakfast buffet is okay. They need to renovate this place.

What a great little hotel this was. It was indeed like stepping into a time warp with old furniture and decorations but it was so clean and well maintained. Comfortable beds, great breakfast.

Characterful and welcoming
This was a nice little family-run hotel. The reception was warm and welcoming. Room was a bit compact, but lacked for nothing in the essentials. Breakfast was decent and gluten-free products provided on request. I would happily stay in this characterful hotel again, so that’s as good a recommendation as you could ask for.

Nice, cozy and nostalgia hotel. It feels like a home. It seems the hotel is family-owned. They are very friendly. Breakfast is great. Room is very clean. Price is reasonable. Hotel sits very close to the central train station, where you can hop on any bus to go anywhere. Quite a lot of restaurants and grocery stores are near by, and I love it. I plan to stay in this hotel again in my next trip to Salzburg. Highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect short stay in Salzburg
Great stay. I arrived late but was till able to get a beer and water. Room was clean and comfortable and large and had a personality! Breakfast was the best value I can remember for many years. No hot food but plenty of cold choices and all for just 6 euros! Will stay again if in Salzburg.

The hotel is a bit tired/old fashion. The free parking is convenient for us that traveled by car. The staff isn’t the most smiling one but it’s often the caset in Austria. The breakfast is really average could have more fruits, viennoiserie etc. Overall for the price it’s not amazing just ok. But all hotels seem expensive in Salzburg.
