We loved our stay and are already talking about planning our next visit here. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. The screened in porch with a tin roof is second to none on a rainy night! Thanks for sharing such an amazing place for us to get away from it all!
The cabin was nice and cozy. We had issue the first full day with water but Ben got a plumber there that night and it was taken care of. Other than that the stay was nice and Ben was available and easy to get a hold of and very responsive.
When we first got there. I was a little nervous because of the steep driveway, but it was a good thing. I have four-wheel-drive other than that. It was awesome and I did get used to the driveway. I love the peace and quiet and the serenity of the place. Everything was clean. It was really nice. I will come back. Ben was a great host.
It was very nice, the only negative was the tv did not work (wouldn't connect to network) and there was no cell service...But we didn't need either one anyway. So our overall rating would be 5 stars.
Loved that it has both covered/screened in and uncovered sections of porch - both ample sized. Very relaxing to spend time on porch and listen to brook and other nature sounds. Full kitchen - refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffeemaker with filters, some kitchen supplies (sugar, mustard, oil, etc). Just the right size for 2 adults. Very close to downtown Saluda. We loved it.
This cabin was exactly the weekend that was well needed to get out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The leaves were just starting to show their colors, and this cabin highlighted every bit of fall. The sound of the creek was an added bonus!
The cabin was clean and had all the essentials needed for a weekend getaway. The bed is extremely comfortable and the quality toiletries were a nice addition.
Regarding the steep driveway, you could definitely park at the base of the driveway for non AWD vehicles, but was definitely a perk to have all wheel drive to get to the top.
Tv and internet were both working but all you really need is a good book and some board games to capitalize on the gem.
Ben was a gracious host and very communicative.
The property did not disappoint, comfortable with a rustic feel and modern updates. The absolute best part was the screened-in porch. We felt like we were in a tree house for adults with the views and babbling creek, so peaceful and relaxing. Inside the cabin provided all that we needed, simple yet functional. Both the bed downstairs and the couch upstairs were comfortable for sleeping. Linens provided were sufficient and we really appreciated things women would notice...quality shampoo and conditioner supplied and soft toilet paper! I will warn that you should not take showers back to back, but leave some time in between for the hot water heater to catch back up. We did not cook at the house but seemed to have the basic kitchen essentials. We wanted to dine out by choice and loved all of the local fares. I will admit since this cabin is new to this particular site, I was worried about no reviews. Once I had the exact address, I could read all if the positive reviews left on the other site and it eased my worry. I take reviews very seriously so I will be as informative as I can with this one. Tbh, the drive way is a challenge. I used my Armada in 4wd to get up. My friend in her Toyota Highlander (also a large suv) could not make it up in her vehicle without 4wd. That being said, it could depend on the size and weight of your vehicle. We kept hers parked at bottom of the drive for our stay. 2 cars up top would have been tight. Communication with Ben was great. No issues.
