"We enjoyed a relaxing two-night stay at the Norfolk Mead and were impressed by the attention to detail and service provided. The food - at both breakfast and dinner - was delicious and there was an excellent selection of wine. Our room was quiet and comfortable, with all needs met and a very decent shower. The spa facilities were well designed and perfectly cleaned and maintained. Again, the customer service was spot on. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so special."

"A great village pub that also offers accommodation. Food was excellent and better quality you would find in most pubs, and even some restaurants. Breakfast was nice also. All the staff are supper friendly. Bedrooms are up a flight of stairs and of course, in a village pub, there is no lift, so if you have problems climbing stairs. maybe not here. If ever we are in this area, we would have no hesitation in booking The Black Lion."

"What a happy accident. We made a very last minute decision to have a stay on the North Norfolk Coast and picked The Maltings almost by sticking a pin in the list. It turned out we had chosen one of the finest hotels we could have found and the location was perfect. The hotel staff were extremely friendly without being overly intrusive and the hotel itself is really cosy and welcoming. There are lots of areas to sit and rest with a drink. The beach is only a 10 minute walk away and that opens the opportunity to head into Sheringham along the coastal path. We ate at the local pub, but the hotel restaurant looks really inviting and the food top quality. We did have breakfast there and sure enough it was delicious. Altogether a memorable break in a hotel fitting for the discerning guest. "
