Salisbury Plain itself is a wildlife haven and offers fantastic walking and cycling routes; please check locally as Salisbury Plain is also home to an army training area.
No trip to Salisbury Plain would be complete without visiting the iconic Neolithic, stone circle of Stonehenge; it’s also worth visiting the charming cathedral city of Salisbury with plenty of independent, shops, pubs and places to eat. If you are looking for a trip further afield, the stunning New Forest National Park is about an hour away and offers fantastic walking and cycling and is peppered with charming villages, many with traditional village inns, and the dramatic Jurassic Coastline of Dorset is also within an hour and a half drive to the south.
