ALL ADULTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE ID- This is something that isn’t mentioned anywhere, and the manager was condescending about this request as if it was noted anywhere. Unfortunately my wife had left her wallet at home and we were 3 hours away from home. The manager seemed irate at the fact and said all adults needed a photo ID or we couldn’t check in. My wife didn’t have a picture of her ID, but did have a picture of her cosmetology license and the manager said no. Finally my wife found a picture of her passport and they seemed so inconvenienced. I reiterated that presenting ID’s wasn’t noted anywhere. I don’t like being made out to be a problematic customer when the rules/ requirements are not stated anywhere. People aren’t psychic.
I gather (now) that it’s due to the area, there’s a lot of obvious sex work, but, again, not the customer’s problem or fault.
After checking in, there was no hot water. When I called front desk, a different gal said the manager knew but was off for the night and that we were supposed to have been notified upon checking in that there wouldn’t be hot water that night nor the following day. This was even more upsetting since none of that was mentioned. Needless to say, we made due. The following morning while I checked out I asked the manager if she could compensate us for the inconvenience. There was a reluctance but she ultimately offered a $20 refund since “they’ve been having problems with the boiler.”
