Not so "clean" BnB
First off, let me say the location of this property is excellent. Right in the old town within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, historical sites, and easy access to the port for ferries to Amalfi. Can't beat it. Access to the property can be challenging if you have large luggage as you have to navigate down a spiral staircase. When we arrived to the property, we noticed several things: the floors and rugs were disgustingly dirty. We tried to use the vacuum, however it was so clogged that we couldn't even empty it, so we spent the whole first hour of our arrival sweeping the floors. There was also no hand soap provided in the hallway bathroom or the kitchen. We also wanted to start laundry when we arrived as we had been traveling for a long time, only to find there was no laundry detergent. We had to go out to the store to get hand soap and laundry detergent, along with coffee as that was also not stocked in the kitchen. Really nothing of use was stocked in the kitchen, unless we planned on making a cake, as there were cake pans in the drawers :/ The terrace is beautiful, the air conditioning was cold, just a few tweaks and attention to detail from the host would've made this stay much better.

Nice but not perfect...
Spacious and well-equipped apartment in the old town. Complete kitchen and beautiful terrace. Cleanliness could be better. The biggest problem is accessibility. The apartment cannot be accessed by car. Parking in Salerno is quite expensive. In the house itself you have to take an elevator to the 6th floor and then go over a balcony to the neighboring house and there again one floor down through a narrow stairwell. A difficult task with larger luggage. Very difficult for people with little fitness or physical limitations. There is no help on site. Unfortunately, these details are not mentioned in the ad. If all that doesn't bother you, you'll find a nice apartment in a central location, sometimes a bit noisy.
