Salemi is a beautiful Arab-medieval village that will conquer you with its views and its ancient streets. The Borgo di Salemi is famous for dinners and volitional altars in honor of the Saint San Giuseppe: in the week of March 19 there is a big party, in which many typical Sicilian dishes are prepared and offered, and the whole center historic is adorned with altars on which worked loaves, oranges, lemons and laurel branches are placed.
But Salemi is not only distinguished by the feast of San Giuseppe, but above all because it has a very rich and varied historical center: the city is gathered around its Norman_Swave castle of the XII-XIII, recently restored, it represents the flagship of the country as well as a must for tourists who come to Salemi, having become a museum and a place where concerts and cultural conferences are held.

- Museum of Sacred Art, where it is possible to admire the works of art from the churches of the Salem area, which collapsed or were seriously damaged by the earthquake that hit the Belice valley in 1968.
