"Our family of 6 adults stayed at Villa Mari Aurelia Dec 4-7 on our way from Florence to Milan. Christina and her son, Elia, were fantastic hosts. Communication before and during our visit was prompt and very helpful. We took advantage of their recommendation to visit Monte Isola, a 5 min walk and ferry ride from the house. "The place was clean and the heating worked properly. Most of the beds are very uncomfortable opening sofa beds. The place is managed by an agency and not by the owner. You need to get the keys from the agents office which is half an hour drive away. The agent did not know the villa very well, thus could not give accurate information. There is no parking at the villa but there is parking at a nearby street."

"Villa Montagne e Lago is a fantastic villa in a beautiful location. Stunning vues across the lake from the garden/pool area. Very clean and well equiped, would comfortably sleep 6 people. You definately need a car to be able to explore the surrounding area, 1.5 miles from nearest main road up a very steep winding road. Would definatley recommend, perfect place for a family holiday!"

The hosts were unbelievably helpful, even organising dinner reservations and a cake for a birthday! The area is absolutely stunning with so much to do and see. "The villa was just as advertised! We loved it. We had 4 different apartments so we could have our space at anytime. The kitchens in each apartment were great. Novella, the property manager, was a dream to work with and answered all questions quickly. We also took advantage of the chefs, Manuel and Mahara. We ordered a brunch and a dinner from them and the food and service were amazing. There are many steps in each apartment so if you have difficulty with stairs, you might need to reconsider. We...

"Anna, is a star!!! Helped us so much before, during and after our stay. Went so far as to get up early on Sunday morning herself to make 2 trips to take us to the train station because she is just that nice person who was happy to do it. A lovely person all around. The villa is so neat and spacious my wife and 3 teenagers had plenty of room to spread out relax and feel and home and get straight into the lake life. From the Villa we could walk to everything you needed to see all of the Lake."
