"This is a lovely newish hotel in a beautiful bay. If you are looking to spend a few days doing nothing and chill this is the perfect place. The photos that you see on their website don't lie. The food was excellent too! Just a couple of minor issues. I know hotels try to create a mood but the piped music all day long can be a little irritating at times. The management obviously do their homework, so as a guest who am I to argue. The only other issue was the staff. Don't get me wrong, all of the staff were polite and courteous at all times and were never rude but they were very disconnected with the guests. We always had to ask for everything, no one was pro-active. Perhaps they were being overworked? They were very young and at times having someone more experienced overlooking things would have helped. The guys that drove the mini bus were the exceptions they were very communicative and personable. Also my wife had a facial in the spa, the lady was absolutely charming. Would I return to the hotel. Yes!"

"Stunning location, clean and modern. Love The Salcombe Gin touch at 5pm! Spa was lovely and treatment was one of the best. Bar & Restaurant is really nice with lovely views. My only ‘minus’ was really the quality of the food was not the best. I had the risotto which was tasteless. "

"Beautiful hotel in the most stunning location. Fantastic for dog walking and miles away from anything. Beautiful views, with access to sea and sand. Lovely food, rooms are great. Sadly didn’t get to use the spa as was fully booked but very quiet in the hotel so not sure how had booked it!"

"Fantastic Sunday lunch and overnight stay. Had a late lunch and a very relaxed afternoon looking at the beautiful view before moving to the fireside sofas for an evening of board games, cheese and wine. Fabulous staff, lovely room. Overall a wonderful short break. "

"The stay was fantastic. Just one issue was the lack of response from the emergancey contact number on the hotels.com confirmation email.....when we could not get in the property, and the key was not in the key safe!.....still waiting for an answer to our call & text.....very poor. We managed to find the key, and text the owners, who replied promptly and were lovely."

"On first arrival the cottage was lovely; a bit quirky but looked as if it would meet our needs. However, considering the cottage slept quite at least 8 adults there wasn’t enough seating in the TV room to accommodate that many. The TV did not have BBC channels so we couldn’t watch Strictly on the Saturday! A smart TV would be better as many people have subscriptions to streaming services. Also the TV in the big bedroom but want connect by aerial; there was an aerial but it was too short to reach the TV! There were no mirrors in the bedrooms so we didn’t have anything to do make up or dry hair! The mirror in the shower room upstairs didn’t work and the towel rail was cold! We found the switch on our last day! "
