"Bos de Penit was an excellent location for 26 dear friends to talk, eat and play. Very quiet, lots of public space for people to gather. Superb grill. Incredible 30 foot long table with view of surrounding nature. Pool was lovely. We hired a chef for three nights which was a very positive addition to our stay. We recommend this location for groups who want to maximize time together in a peaceful setting."

"Our third stay at this villa and the first with Fabrice the new owner, who has made numerous improvements. It was good before and is now excellent. The weather for our second week was wet and chilly, so could have done with the pool being heated, but understand this is one of the plans for next year. We will definitely try to go back again."

"We had a lovely stay in Julia’s beautiful house at the end of August. The house has everything you need and beautiful furniture and amazing views from the balcony. The garden is on several levels and is fun to explore! Lalinde is in the perfect location for a holiday in the Dordogne and we went canoeing, paddle boarding and cycling as well as visiting lots of local towns and markets. Our teenagers loved the local vide-greniers ( car boot sales)! Merci Julia!"

"As described in the other reviews, well equipped and a good size house. The free range eggs being collected daily was a good bonus. Good size lake on site for fishing. Pool was good and so was the hot tub. Not a bad location, exactly what we were looking for deep in the French countryside. Philippe was very helpful, spoke good English, seen to the pool every few days and was there for any questions at their other property a few hundred metres away without being invasive at all. "We loved staying on the farm. The house was large and spotless, hosts incredibly helpful. Our 3 and 5 year olds boys loved it too! The only thing to note for other guests (that is very usual in France) is that you need to bring your own bedding, this isn’t explicitly called out on the listing. Would definitely stay again! "
